There was a deep rumble - the sound of machines. It was what inspired him - the loud noises and the reverberating echo of progress as the noise grew and grew in a great harmonious cacophony.

Some said that one day machines would rule us all, little did they know about the wild ambition of mad scientists and anarchists who would use them to unleash unruly madness.

However, the machines could be just as peaceful if they were allowed to be. Just because something roars does not mean that it has to bite.

Forthcoming on Compost Records, a compilation which spotlights and showcases the best of a newish generation of krautrock featuring producers and musicians such as I:Cube, Fred und Luna, Abrão and many more. This track from Halwa takes our pick of the bunch.

Bangkok-based artist @musicvell releases debut EP “Floating Mists, Warm Vistas,” on the @boiledwonderlandrecords banner.

In a vell of floating mists so fine, Warm vistas danced in a twisty line. Boiled Wonderland records played a tune, Singing a song to the glowing moon.

Mists giggled and twirled with glee, Vistas whispered secrets to the sea. Boiled Wonderland laughed along, Records skipped, oh what a song!

Through the vell, a whimsical flight, Floating dreams took their height. Warm vistas hugged the sky so tight, Boiled Wonderland spun day to night.

Records danced on the starry floor, A nonsense rhyme forevermore. In this world where imagination exists, Vell, vistas, records – a dreamer’s tryst!
 

An expansive sonic journey of an EP, we’re premiering the title track; “Floating Mists, Warm Vistas,” packed full of skipping drum breaks, rolling basslines and bubbling synths.

Lunatic Music’s second release is the debut from London-based Tokyo-born producer DJ Himitsu ( @user-796730172 ) 

DJ Himitsu played a tune so absurd,
“Acid Three” on repeat, oh my word!
Lunatic Music took us on a ride,
Beats and rhythms dancing side by side.

The moon joined in with a laugh so bright,
Stars grooved along, oh what a sight!
Himitsu scratched vinyl in the cosmic sea,
A nonsensical jam for you and me.
 

We’re premiering the percussive acid of “Three Acid,”. The EP also features a remix from Dexter Gregg under his Solid State guise.

There was dense thick greenery upon the hillside. Scattered in amongst the growth were little flowers which danced here and there – peacefully and softly against a wild backdrop of deep green. He was sat in the park down below, watching and wondering about why it was that he was here and not some place else in a different time. Sometimes it seemed as though he was the odd one out – a little bit wild in an otherwise mundane world.

In the shadow of the oleander he pondered these things – trying to piece together the what and why of his very being for it made no sense and seemed so impossible to unravel from within its own chaos.

At least the sun was out, that was something, that was nice…

He watched as some kids kicked a football around on the grass, over in the corner another group were attempting to jump bikes. The smell of a barbecue drifted on the occasional breeze and the sound of popping bottles was startling from time to time. It was all in good spirits…

This was a simpler time, a dreamy time, before the flickering screens and the ringing of a damn cell phone…

DJ bwin pays homage to the sound of proper Dubstep on a new EP. The fresh faced producer has bold intentions and delivers a masterclass in bass weight on First Second Label. Watch out, you’ll probably hear this one damaging a sound system near you soon.

No, quite the opposite.

The music blasted loudly from the hand crafted old speakers, it banged and boomed as whoops and delirious cheers echoed from room to room. It were as if the sun was some kind of witchcraft…

Raised in Essex, Jones she transitioned from her classical training into the world of the electronic. Drip by drip, drop by drop - the cup began to bubble like some sort of wild cauldron. It was all illuminated by the hazy murky glow of the streetlights which were all seeing and all knowing as they looked down upon the corner with a wicked orange fog.

One sip and it were as if time was moving ever so slowly - the noises which echoed all around were no longer there and the city was silent and asleep for a moment.

Wandering step by step, through the sprawling mirage of streets, boarded up shutters and empty buildings were all that was left to guide him from place to place. Sometimes it was better to be lost than found, besides whenever he needed to find solace in something, there was a purple whirlpool nearby for that.
