The rocket travelled hastily through the midnight sky. Racing towards it's destination it must ensure that it was not traced by opposition radar, who knew that a mere tin can could maintain such responsibility? Faster than the speed of light, the frame of the shell glimmered under the glow of the starlight from up above. Soon to cause havoc and prosperity for nations divided by sea, it must not miss. 

Kess Kill is the brainchild of Rivet, to date it has released an array of off centre post punk and electronics. However, now the label draws upon the musical intuition of Swedish duo Grand Mal x.

The code was statistically problematic and prone to dangerous manipulation. As he toyed with the whirring machine he padded the buttons relentlessly: eight, zero, six, nine. He took a deep breath and tried once more, eight, zero, six, nine. He was beginning to lose his patience with the jilted machinery and soon he may well very have to do the unthinkable. Vandalism was not in his nature but a violent rage and a ticking clock had the capacity to change everything. 

400PPM is the moniker of the widely acclaimed, New York based producer, Shawn O'Sullivan. His new album on Avian sees him draw upon machine led inspiration.

Fit for Purpose

The climate within the glasshouse was murky and warm. The heat poured prominently through the long windows as the plants soared elegantly into the sunshine up above. On level ten, an environment was blossoming, one left untouched by man and machine. In this place nature would thrive and flourish for generations to come as the chimes echoed in the hollow space. 

Munro is set to release a new two track EP on XVI Records. Two truly wicked tracks packed with summer enthusiasm and vibes a plenty.

The capital was awash with beautiful people. They danced elegantly under the pale glow of the moon as the framework of great buildings loomed spectacularly overhead. In the distance the cries of the new year could be heard echoing through the park and she gazed out towards the exotic sprawl before her. The balcony was getting cold as the light continued to fade, but she feared little for the chill. She was warm at home now. 

Pont Neuf is a French record label operating out of the capital. They are set to release a new EP from Tour-Maurbourg in the coming weeks.

The keys melodically chimed in the empty church hall. In the corner of the suty room was a man composing a perfect harmony upon a delicate piano. He plucked and prodded the instrument so intricately it were as if he were a part of the very notes himself. The light hung low outside as he closed the old wooden doors behind him and walked into the open courtyard. People were gathered by coffee shops and bars, merrily passing the time as the day fell to a close. 

Komon & Will Saul collaborate on the much loved Aus Music record label, owned by Saul himself. The pair also bring in the big guns on remix duties with Nick Hoppner and Juju & Jordash stepping up.

The temple was a beautiful emporium of earthly delight and wonder. The marble floor shone and glimmered, his heels clicked to and fro as he walked proudly along the eerie corridors. Great pictures hung ominously on the walls showcasing battles of days gone by, distant memories and bleak momentos. This was a palace to some, a prison to others, yet ultimately it was home. He had little choice but to observe the outside world from a position of superiority. He was Prince Canini. 

Throne of Blood records return following the recent release of their Moon Rock compilation with a new EP from Curses.

The number was ominous and fierce. The chords throbbed passionately in between the castle walls. It looked out upon the open green park with a hazy shadow. Beneath the trees it was a haunted place within which witches dined and demons played. However, deep in the darkness of the night the battle of drums echoed wild amongst the forest and the castle became illuminated with life. Fear was in the eye of the beholder and it was not for this eve. 

Christian Lisco is the next artist to release on Paramount City. He delivers four tracks of analogue delight on a new EP titled "Juno".

He looked down upon the crystal clear water and yet saw little but black. He had been hoping that he might perhaps spot a glance of his reflection or a glimmer of hope beneath the deep blue but there was little to live beyond the depths. The boat sailed carelessly forwards through the night: beaten and bashed by the waves the storm must now be at its terrible worst. He kneeled down, looked up to the dirty clouds up above and said his last words before the sun presented itself once more. 

Worth Way is set to release a new four track EP on The Other Planet. Deep, heady house with a soulful edge and a twist of heart.

The gym was alive with the sound punches and the chamber echoed loudly under the weight of blows. The sound of smacks reverberated from punch bags as the squeak of feet stuttered hastily upon the linoleum floor. Some believed this to be a place of danger to the outside man, however, those whom were welcome were made to feel right at home. All of a sudden the lights blackened and the noise halted to an abrupt, sharp stop. The doors creaked open....

PolyGlove are a duo from Dublin whom seem drawn to the glitches and rugged nature of hardware. The 9th of June will see them release a tape on de/konstruk/cionez.

The gentleman entered the courtyard with graceful elegance. He marched prominently forwards before the great palace and introduced himself to each and every man. His suit was renowned and spectacular, colourful and profound. The evening was young as the sound of trumpets echoed in the royal blue sky. Many were already dancing, moving gracefully between partner in time with a single four of the drums. They would still be there several hours later. 

Africa Seven are to release a new compilation featuring reimagined versions of rare African disco, soul and funk. The track above sees Plaid remix Manu Dibango.

The grove was radiant beneath the light of the evening sun. As he watched the hazy orange sky loom low over the green sea before him, he pondered what the harvest might bring. Would this year be as fruitful as the last or might there be some sort of spanner in the works? Many depended on him for livelihood, for supplies and for success. Yet, he did not let these things phase or trouble him. For he was at one with his crop and a man of the land. 

Andy Vaz is set to release a new three track EP on Chiwax. This one features soulful house grooves with some g-funk esque swagger thrown in for good measure.

It seems there is space for another anonymous artist in the world of Man Power. After a limited release on Too Many Squares last year, the mysterious (or alias) Frank Butters releases 'Cult Of Glamour' on Me Me Me. This cut gets the "swamp disco" treatment from Andrew Weatherall. Siren-styled lasers fire out from a solid live drum rhythm as arpeggiated and delayed synths bicker with each other. Breathy male vox just peek in, from round some corner in the mix, in the shade. It all falls in on itself, then recharges somewhere between the floor toms and cymbals, making it right and rather majestic.

The golden table had witnessed many elegant banquets and played host to noblemen from far and wide. Many of them had travelled across dangerous and stormy seas in order to sit at the table. However, their leader did not care for their hardships, he simply drank from his topaz chalice and observed the scene which unfolded delicately before his eyes. The room was noisy and abrupt, the walls tall and gloomy. He dreamt of elsewhere. 

Body-San is set to release a new EP on Lo Recordings, the release sees him dig deep into the murky, moody undertones of house and dance music.

The wonderfully-named @braqueberry has a new EP out 23rd May on @iberianjuke, the label run by Spanish footwork dons @bsnposse. We were told it sounds like "James Blake on Diazepam" but it's actually even better than that!

The Barcelona producer and RBMA grad's first EP 'Wemen' came out in 2013 and featured remixes from Ghosts On Tape (Fade To Mind) and MikeQ (Mad Decent). That was followed by 'Bass Materialist' in 2014, recorded during a pilgrimage to Japan.

'Chorro100's' is the name of the new EP - five strung out footwork cuts mixing juke rhythms with old school analogue textures. We're premiering a track called 'Boomer (299999999)', which is probably the most old-school of the bunch. Languid synth chords provide a perfect counterpoint to the frenetic drums, before some pitch-shifted vocals take this to a weirder place entirely. Sometimes you gotta look back to look forwards.

The machinery was flickering under the strain of the breach. D5 was under attack and there was very little which could be done to move forwards. The corridors were under darkness in the old building. The laboratory deathly quiet. The night was young and by morning all would be resolved but for now they were living amidst perilous times. 

It's always a delight to be introduced to something beyond the present knowledge base. Seaen is to release a new EP on Blaník, an up and coming French label with which we were not previously familiar.

For their third release Clandestino step into the light themselves to present two original tracks. A-side ‘Another Horizon’ channels a heady late eighties vibe, while here ‘Quiet Storm’ quickens the tempo. From an expectedly solid 707 beat, gentle swathes of distant synths lap this retro houser. As the rhythms fill up the space, deep throated vox samples and old school piano vibes bring forward the dance floor heat as the storm swells overhead. Acid rain.

The towers swept from beneath the sand like great thrones of gold. Beneath them many had gathered to observe the spectacle, for this was the highlight of the calendar. The sun was at its highest point and the radiant heat cascaded down heavily upon the desert floor. There was little life out here but for the occasional insect, yet somehow a concave of humans had masqueraded their way across the haunted landscape to meet beneath the shadowy pillars. 

Turenne is one of four to appear on a new EP forthcoming from Axe On Wax. Packed with enchanting tracks for summer the release also features the likes of Marlon Hoffstadt and Jesse Bru.

A new dawn lay awaiting beyond the hillside. As the sun began to rise in the distance the sky was illuminated a spectacular shade of pink and gold. The breeze blew freely between the trees as the night was banished for another day. This was the Hermanio age, a peaceful time with which little would suffer or perish and man was free. Nature was everything to the people of the lake, they watched eagerly in awe as God addressed the world for yet another day. 

Lawrence Le Doux delivers a stunning piece of well crafted house music on a collaborative release between Le Pacifique and Unref. The release is accompanied by remixes from Cosmo Knex, Innershades and Kassett, however it was the original which inspired our imagination.

The lights flickered in the distance as he stuck his key into the ignition. He ramped up the engine and prepared to launch forwards onto the intersection, in the distance the sound of sirens echoed and throbbed violently in the air. He was caught off guard for a hazy second as he found himself lost in their perilous wail. Suddenly he snapped, GREEN. Leaping through the gears he rocketed forwards into space, the race was very much on. 

Label boss Heartthrob releases on his own imprint ISNISNT. He is accompanied by remixes from Justin Cudmore and Red Rack'em.

Intersection

The space shuttle was ready and eagerly set to launch. Smoke bubbled beneath the weighty metallic chamber and the concrete was blackened by the radiant heat. Soon the craft would leave planet earth destined for some place far, far away. PSR1170 had been a long time in the making, it was a miracle that the project had evolved this far. Little of them knew what might happen next but they were prepared to enter the darkness, the sky beyond space. 

L.Pearson releases as part of a split EP on the newly formed Cong Burn label. The release draws upon an array of experimental electronics.
