Label linchpin @timothyclerkin returns to Ransom Note Records with the 'Unborn' EP, home to four brand spanking new rave bangers!

The first track to be unleashed is ‘Primary Function’, which sounds like a dubbed-out Boards of Canada on a particularly warped mushroom trip.

Timothy’s music has brought us many special moments over the past few summers and seems bound to do so again, with the new EP already getting played by the likes of Optimo, Lena Willikens and Andrew Weatherall.

After cutting his teeth as one half of Eskimo Twins, Clerkin launched his solo career in 2014 under the now-retired Heretic moniker. Having released on labels including Throne of Blood, Hard Fist and Tusk Wax, he’s since graduated to running his own Insult To Injury imprint from his new base in Amsterdam.

The freshly Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Timothy Clerkin delivers his third solo EP on Ransom Note Records. Once again, he develops a very particular sound, full of contrast between soft and comforting basses vs raw and grainy synths and FX. Crossover between ambient and club, this extra-terrestrial groove from the half of Eskimo Twins is part of the great ‘Unborn EP’, pertinently already supported by Optimo, Lena Willikens or Andrew Weatherall.
