"I was slightly obsessed with the name Deep Breakfast, and when I sat down to make a mix, I wondered what it would be like to just play tunes I'd like to hear at breakfast time. I pictured one of those really fancy breakfast bar things you get on holiday, on a nice sunny day, windows open to the balcony with a massive bowl of cereal. I do enjoy a good 'serious' mix, but for this I thought other people would do such a better job of those ambient mixes, so thought I'd soundtrack a particularly fancy breakfast. Enjoy."  Gavin

Deep Breakfast 125 - worriedaboutsatan

Who better than the wonderful Léo @leo-booka to wrap up the 5-year celebrations with a bow? This man is a myth, a true selector where there was one, with remarkable range and taste. One of my first influences, he has inspired me many times over and over the years and continues to do so.

From underground raves in the '90s to clubs or festivals, the past three decades have witnessed an eclectic musical journey for Léo, back to his roots under the Zeon moniker, he delves into a world of ambient beats and blissed-out textures crafting a warm sonic dialogue with a deep sense of hypnotism and spirit.

ASIP - Oddity Influence Mix

Sine Buyuka has found a perfect remedy for a gloomy Monday. Fireplace videos, her dog and fresh ginger tea feature in the London-based Circassian-Turkish producer's R&R routine, but today it's soundtracked by her own soothing blend of ambient sonics from across the world.

Sine wears many different hats: she's a DJ, label owner of Injazero, ex-music journalist, radio host, Guildhall School of Music and Drama graduate and a producer, the latter of which she's now doing under the moniker Sinemis.

This new project recently came to life with the release of Dua, an album that came at a life-changing time for Sine. Last year she began feeling unwell, but at the time her symptoms weren't diagnosable and gradually they worsened, resulting in her being admitted to A&E whilst visiting her family in Turkey. She eventually had surgery and has been on the road to physical and emotional recovery this year, a period that has had a profound affect on her musical output.

Drawing inspiration from Sufi music - traditional ritualistic music that are used to accompany ancient sema ceremonies native to her home of Turkey - the compositions are meditative and gentle, brought into the contemporary sphere by electronic soundscapes, ambient atmospheres and field recordings. 

To celebrate the release of the record, she offers up a mix of ambient vibrations plucked from Turkey, the Middle East, North and East Africa and the West...

Ryan Griffin, the man behind the blog and label @astrangelyisolatedplace.

Started to spin turntables while he was only 16 years old, after spent some time in Ibiza discovered more atmospheric downtempo music.

In 2004 he started working at Crosstown Rebels (record label), but soon created his own project called A Strangely Isolated Place, mainly focusing on musician's exclusive mixes, records releasing/publishing and promoting creations by other artists.

By constantly developing his music community and label, has published a large catalog of works.


Anecumene was an online radio event curated by A Strangely Isolated Place label, the Spanish series of events CALMA, MNMNT innovative techno music community and the Korean-based label Oslated. The experience took place virtually on November 13 - 15th 2020 worldwide from the radio platform 9128.live.
