Justin Robertson... what an absolute legend! A much over-used phrase in this day and age but one that completely befits Mr Robertson.

Twenty three years at this thing called doof doof and beyond, he's an innovator and restless proponent of fascinating forward thinking music. 

A rich history matched only by his tireless need to keep pushing forward, as a result he remains one of the most relevant and exciting DJ/Producers around under his incredibly prolific Deadstock33s current moniker. 

Still hugely relevant today, we've seen him in the last few years look just at home tearing apart the main stadium-sized rooms at WHP's previous home Victoria Warehouse as he does in sun-kissed outdoors on an Adriatic coast at Electric Elephant. We were honoured to have him play for us at our beloved stage at Farr last year - he was so great that he's back again this year to play the hallowed sunset set. It’s what sets a great selector out from someone who merely calls themselves a DJ. 

So it's a privilege, nay a celebration that we've finally pinned him down for the Ransom Note mix. And he's turned in an Alfresco Jacking Excursion... a cracker it is too.

ANTAM Records, the Paris-based imprint helmed by Bassam and Antoine Sy, continues to flex its vision of contemporary club music with its eleventh release, the various artists EP "Dessert On The Milky Way." True to its title, the project delivers a sweet spread of genre-blurring treats, each track carrying its own unique flavor while orbiting around a shared devotion to groove, texture, and the art of dancefloor storytelling.

Among the highlights, Antoine Sy himself contributes "Disco Computer", a piece that turns its title into a mission statement. This is not nostalgia, but evolution: Electro skeletons dressed in disco sparkle, brushed with the unmistakable sheen of French House. Vocoded computer phrases and occasional spoken vocals add a slyly futuristic layer, while disco-tinged bass and shimmering synth lines fuel a track that is as stylish as it is direct. It thrives on the tension between machine precision and human groove, inviting both hips and heads into its orbit.

One of contemporary boogie’s biggest grails finds its way back to Star Creature in a full cir-cle moment much larger than 7” in diameter. MIA made her debut for Mango Hill records with 2020’s heart-shaped Valentine’s debut “Something ‘ Bout Your Love”. Shortly after, the label put out a call for producers focusing on the boogie sound at the same time Toronto’s Gil Masuda was previewing some demos looking for vocalists. Star Creature’s Tim Zawada linked the two via IG and an anthem was born.

“Love Me Right” is back in print and properly situated on the A Side delivering that bedroom meets dancefloor tough but tender gangster groove grail sound. The B-Side let’s the freakier flag fly with “Creatures Of The Night” on the prowl. Channeling the lo-fi energy of an undis-covered grail, this basement boogie is ready for the main floor, prime time fierceness served raw.

London-based DJ duo, producers, and curators Earthly Measures announce their debut EP, ‘FROM EARTH’, landing August 8 via Oath. The six-track release is a vibrant statement of intent: a celebration of rhythm, collaboration, and borderless sound.

Leading the EP is the electrifying first single ‘QUE?’, featuring Colombian artist OKRAA. It’s a kinetic fusion of Afro-Latin percussion, live textures, and UK breakbeat energy, anchored by a looping Fela Kuti sample that pulses like a heartbeat through the track. A psychedelic, bass-heavy trip built for movement.

Across ‘FROM EARTH’, Earthly Measures chart a path through deep grooves, organic instrumentation, and global club culture. Each track is shaped by cross-continental collaboration:

‘THIRD TRY’, created with Chile’s DJ Raff, is a hypnotic, slow-burning roller that blends warped synths, sub-heavy basslines, and Latin rhythmic sensibilities with mystical restraint.

“EARTH GROOVE”, made with Argentinian producer Balam, hums with ancestral echoes and future-facing energy: a ritualistic low-end meditation finally emerging from their archives.

The EP also includes three powerful remixes that reimagine the originals through fresh lenses:

Berlin-based Olsvangèr brings a dubbed-out, textural warmth to ‘QUE?’ with his Wildwood Dub.

Sun Sone’s remix of ‘THIRD TRY’ leans into bright percussion and open-air energy.

Jinje closes the journey with a kaleidoscopic, peak-time rework of ‘EARTH GROOVE’, lifting it into euphoric new terrain.

As longtime champions of globally inspired dance music, Earthly Measures have spent years cultivating a platform where sounds from across the planet collide — whether through their label, DJ sets, or live showcases. Now, with ‘FROM EARTH’, they step into the spotlight as artists, weaving together the rhythms and textures they’ve championed into a cohesive, forward-facing release.

Almost a year after the release of the EP Transmissions, acclaimed upon its release by France Inter, RTBF, Tsugi Radio, Pedro Winter, among others, the DJ and producer duo Housecall is back with a special remix reissue, made for the dance floor.


Four artist friends each reinterpreted one of the tracks from the original record. This includes a progressive house remix by NairLess, a UK bass remix by Versant, a dark disco remix by Sapphist Eye, and a groovy house remix by Charleeps. To close this musical chapter on a high note, Housecall delivers an original track, a flamboyant disco rework of the outro Répertoire.


Transmissions Remixes will be released on Wednesday, September 24, followed by a release party at Superflu (Paris 18th arrondissement) on Saturday, September 27, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m

Nico Lahs is back on his home label U Fit with another effortlessly classy house EP. This is the latest in a long line of accomplished outings from this prolific producer and, as always, it manages to subtly straddle different worlds. 'Do What U Feel' is vibey house with excitable drums and chords that get you wanting to move, then 'Get Away' sinks you into a sun-kissed Mediterranean house sound awash with breezy chords. 'Losing Respect' is darker, more gritty and dusty, then a Specter remix flips 'Get Away' into a timeless deep house jaunt with real Chicago roots.
