Venice Arms is Luca Venezia's homage to his raver youth. The Berlin-based producer spent the late 90s immersed in the rave scene of his native New York, a formative part of his musical journey that he still holds dear.

It's the breaks-driven, acid-soaked, euphoric sounds played at those parties that steer his Venice Arms productions, which so far have formed two releases for Permanent Vacation - last year's The Future Is Waiting and the freshly dropped Love Hz.

It's a slight gear shift from his other project, Luca's most well known for his dark punk-tinged club sounds under the name Curses, but with Venice Arms he can make sure he's keeping "one foot in the rave and one hand in the wave".

To mark the release of his second EP, Luca takes us on a trip back to his rave hey days and shares a few vintage pictures of him donning the 60" wide leg trousers before hitting up a rave in Queens or Brooklyn...
