In the pulse of night, where stars shimmer and bend,
A cosmic rift appears, where realms transcend.
Electronic waves ripple, a wormhole's silent call,
Inviting wanderers to journey, to answer destiny's thrall.
Synthesised melodies, a beacon in the void,
Guide travellers through the rift, where time is toyed.
Lost in the rhythm, they dance in the neon glow,
Through the wormhole's mouth, where mysteries bestow.
In this celestial passage, where past and future merge,
The dance of existence takes on a cosmic surge.
Through the wormhole's gaze, where realities collide,
They venture forth on an undefined odyssey.
In the pulse of night, where beats surge and thrive,
The wormhole whispers secrets of worlds alive.
In its embrace, they find unity's might,
Lost and found in the dance of cosmic light.

Bio/
Janovski is a French DJ from Nancy who started exploring electronic music through his writing experiences. Editor at Dure Vie since 2016, he has interviewed several big names on the international scene, such as Laurent Garnier.

At the same time, he discovered the immense potential of turntables and started to mix them for his own pleasure. In 2021, he joined the Nancy-based association La Zintrie. He played in local festivals such as ℕ𝕦𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕖𝕤 Festival or Nancy Jazz Pulsations and in more underground clubs such as KALT in Strasbourg or L'Ostra Club.

In 2022, he created the duo 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 with his friend and musical acolyte TITVS.

Wave Arising: The 'Monday Is OK' Mix

Sun & Smoke is originally a 2-hour self-produced mix uploaded to Youtube and Soundcloud (https://asip.me/3wvukf4) in 2018 by Greek artist, https://soundcloud.com/dj_theef. Consisting of unreleased productions, the set was uploaded as a safe space, with zero expectations of it ever gaining attention or release.

After many late-night listening sessions, ASIP contacted Theef to discuss how a release might come to life. Originally consisting of 21 tracks in total –with two subsequently released on Morevi Records in 2022– ASIP had the honor of curating and sequencing an album from the remaining 19 unreleased productions, finally landing on those that best represented the intention of the original mix and the feelings it evoked upon those first moments of discovery. 

The appeal of Sun & Smoke can be found in its purity. Built with no intention or audience in mind, the album traverses core elements of deep techno, trance and downtempo. Progressive atmosphere building, addictive underlying grooves, and expansive moments of euphoria; as a mixtape, Sun & Smoke is a zero-visibility haze of eyes-closed, body-moving, forward momentum. As an album, each track is now allowed the space to deliver on its own defining atmosphere. 

From the ambient leaning beginnings of Sky Textures and the title track, Sun & Smoke, to the electro tinges of Primal Age, and the metallic swirls and glistening synths in Approaching Stars, the parts now have the chance to become greater than the sum of its original whole. 

Mastered by Giuseppe Tillieci (Neel / Voices From The Lake) with artwork photography by Juan Fernandez (edited by ASIP), Sun & Smoke will be available on Transparent Red/Orange Smoke gatefold 2LP + digital.

New material following a full month of work. Some "tracks" will probably be extracted and worked on for future releases as Gardian, taking a new approach to sound, blending mineral sounds and a minimal break~ish techno style.

Earlier this month, UK-based acid house legend @ramjac performed a live reel-to-reel session at Inverted Audio Record Store in Peckham alongside the release of an exclusive cassette ‘Bibec Studio Extracts 1994 – 1995’ featuring five archive productions.

Marking our first ever live set at Inverted Audio Record Store, Ramjac did not disappoint, bringing a wealth of reels, analog equipment and raw experience, resulting in an enthralling performance of acid breakbeat and house music, plus an unheard version of Ramjac's cult classic 'Cameroon Massif!'.

We'd like to extend a big thank you to everyone that made it down to the record store, especially those that travelled all the way from Switzerland and the Czech Republic. Big up to Paul Chivers aka Ramjac Corporation for driving all the way from Somerset to perform in London. It's not often you get to witness a reel-to-reel set, this was a totally unique and spectacular live performance.

Our next in-store event will take place on Saturday 18th May (5-8pm) with London-based record label @baroquesunburst featuring strictly vinyl DJ sets from co-founders Big Hands, Soreab and special guests. We’ll have vinyl copies from Baroque Sunburst's discography on sale and free beer from Brixton Brewery.
