Le Carousel presents PKR044  The second in a new series of remixes under the Le Carousel banner.

Following the extended version of We’re All Gonna Hurt — alongside a remix from Sean Johnston (Hardway Bros / A Love From Outer Space) — PKR044 continues the journey with a brand-new, previously unreleased Le Carousel original.

This track pushes deeper into psychedelic territory — a warped take on the dancefloor formula that channels German electronic influences from Kraftwerk to NEU!, while keeping one foot firmly in the disco.

The star of the show! Curses steps in for the main remix duties, turning up the heat with a driving version that lifts the tempo and energy, but also keeping the trippy feel of the original. For his second remix we get a deep, slung-back roller made for those darker, low-ceiling moments. An incredible pair of remixes, we are blessed! 

Phil Kieran closes the release with his own re-imagining — a bleached-out, blissed-up excursion that strips back the beats in favour of lush synth textures and hypnotic movement. It’s a beautiful, sophisticated counterpoint to the originals.

Another album on lempuyang can only mean another set of remixes. To reimagine 'Objects', we've invited Deadbeat who wraps a cosy blanket around 'Notions', Federsen who takes the stripped dub of 'Ruptures' into 4/4 territory, Merv rework the detroitesque 'Perspectives' into more chord-driven dub shenanigans, and Ohm & Octal Industries provide a hard hitting yet ethereal take on Assertions to close out.

PREMIERE - Golden Axe – To Dance In The Summer Rain (Serenades)

Hard to believe we’re on volume 5 of the annual Razor-N-Tape Family Affair compilation, but time flies when the RNT fam is having fun! As always, it’s a wide-ranging collection of vibes and grooves from the extended international Razor-N-Tape network. This year’s vinyl sampler includes both label newcomers and veterans across six tracks.
Recloose, Medlar & Daisybelle, Misiu, Saucy Lady, Anoraak, and Marina Trench deliver in their respective signature styles, taking us on a genre-bending tour of sounds. From House to Disco, Dub to Breaks, and Chuggers to Pumpers, there’s a bit of something for everyone here—fun for the whole family!


PREMIERE : Mike Misiu - Hold Your Body

Visions of Paraiso is the new label from Panøram, a fresh alias with serious creative intent from an accomplished producer. He has worked on various projects before, but recently took a step back to refocus on production, hone his vision, and refine his sound into something that collides a wide range of influences. After growing up around parental Pink Floyd, The Clash, and the Sex Pistols records, he fell for US house, speed garage, and trance from across Europe. For his own productions, he has a future-facing perspective and brings warm atmospheric darkness to this first new EP. The superb opener 'Visions (Original Drums Mix)' is six deeply alluring minutes of echoing guitar riﬀs and crisp, live-sounding drums that wouldn't sound out of place at an ALFOS party. There is a melancholic tone and alluring shadowiness to the atmosphere as vocal fragments and warbling acid add extra texture and keep you locked. '1.984 (Original 707 Mix)' is another slick drone beat with crisp hits and swirling distant pads that sketch out a dystopian world. Luminous pads and angelic coos rise to bring hope and light to what is a rugged but human biker-disco gem. 'Visions (Dub Desert Version)' closes out with more twang in the guitars and an extra focus on the vast bass kicks, which envelop you from below as gritty post-punk motifs and more sustained pads build a brilliant moodiness.

This week marks the return of one of the most interesting record labels and parties to emerge from London. World Unknown has become an institution of sorts having offered opportunities to many up and coming musicians across a period of time which has observed a vast array of transition within dance and electronic music. Andy Blake has been a prolific member of the London community for a generation and is responsible for having run some of the most distinctive and singular parties across the city in recent times. From shopfront raves to obscure warehouse nightlife he has raised the standard, encouraging promoters to think outside the box. 

We invited him to contribute to our mix series as he showcases sounds of significance. Enter World Unknown....
