Night School's new signing Yuching Huang steps sideways for us...

Taipei-based singer/producer Yuching Huang intricately weaves together a tapestry of experimental  electric guitar, synthesizers, and vocals, crafting her own blend of noise rock, dream pop and synth-pop.

Having spent 11 formative years in Berlin, she co-founded the experimental noise-pop (that's a lot of pops) duo Aemong, releasing three albums via labels like Diskotopia and Altered States Tapes.

Her sophomore album, "The Crystal Hum," and her first on the always excellent Night School sees her embrace "A beguiling dreamscape of crackles, spluttering, love-struck Casios presided over by the the spectral vocal and guitar work of Huang, Yuching sings love songs at the end of this world and the beginning of the next." Experimenting with looping, sampling and other ways to manipulate her voice and music it's infused with romance and rock, traversing the realms of ambient, lo-fi, and pop.

Yuching Huang - The Alternative Mixtape

Dos primas pinchadiscos y muy bailongas que llevan más de diez años en esto de
hacer bailar. La complicidad entre ellas, su curiosidad y amor por la música son
culpables de que no tengan reparos a la hora de mezclar géneros o de moverse
por distintas épocas e innumerables estilos, pero siempre con un hilo conductor y
con la máxima de bailar y de que volváis a casa con la sensación de haber vivido
unagran noche. Sus sets son un vaivén de la electrónica más bailable, con disco,
italo, house o acid como algunos de los ingredientes principales.
Habituales de las salas de Madrid, han pasado recientemente por Press Start en
el Sótano, Squalo Club, Macera Club, dos de las ediciones Tomavistas Extra del
Festival Tomavistas, Elrow Town Madrid, el festival Palencia Sonora o el Low
Festival.
