He started two legendary Scottish clubs - Pure and Optimo, the latter a duo with Jonnie Wilkes which recently celebrated 25 years of global touring, outrageous parties, and communitarian activism. Ransom Note’s new label Dance Music From Planet Earth have just released ‘Richard Sen presents Dream The Dream: UK Techno, House and Breakbeat 1990-1994’. The British Indian DJ/producer/record collector is a music dance music veteran with a proper heavyweight CV, whose Zelig like history goes even further back. Speaking on his Bleep mix, Richard explains: “All the tracks that I chose for this mix are from 1988 - 1995. I tried to choose tracks that were musical, deep, druggy and still rough around the edges. This is a snapshot of the kind of music I was playing back then - a personal selection of some of my faves. I'd like to think that they all stand the test of time and I still play some of them out now.”

Solid Steel in association with Serato (16th October) With this years ADE in full swing, it's fitting that we welcome Amsterdam native and Rush Hour alumni Young Marco to the Solid Steel series. Following early releases on the aforementioned Rush Hour label, a string of well received remixes and a debut album Biology on ESP Institute, he returns in 2015 with Sorry For The Late Reply, a compilation of remixes released on his own Safe Trip label out early November. There's no track list, but there's a healthy dose of ambient and electronic cuts, alongside some deep techno selections to draw you in. If you're at ADE this weekend, you can catch Young Marco playing at 3 events, including Sunday night alongside Moodymann.

In recent times we have seen a wave of hugely talented disc jockeys emerge from Japan...

Yuzo Iwata is from Sapporo and has been working prominently in the city as a promoter behind his party, FLOPPY. As a disc jockey he is superbly talented, taking an eclectic approach to his sets which often meander between style and genre. He also makes use of field recordings and plays experimentally from the perspective of telling a story through his own musical representation. 

Now based in Berlin, he spends his days working in second hand record shops and producing his own music which has so far been released on the likes of Pluie/Noir and Rotate. He has forthcoming music soon to be released on SJ Tequila's record label Shot of T which lurks around the corner. 

This mix was recorded live as part of an opening set at Precious Hall in Sapporo at his own FLOPPY party - it is recorded entirely on vinyl with the exception of one unreleased track and some overlaid field recordings.
