It’s some four years since the release of Bison’s acclaimed debut single, “Way To LA”, the result of a series of productive
studio sessions between Paul ‘Mudd’ Murphy, longtime collaborator Ben Smith, krautrock legend Holgar Czukay and
vocalist Ursula Major. Since then, Murphy and Smith have made a number of return trips to Can’s Innerspace Studio in
Cologne, where Czukay famously conjures his out-there musical magic.

The result is ‘Travellers’, the quartet’s long-promised debut album. It is, by anyone’s standards, a deliciously dubby and
intergalactic concoction; a fearlessly atmospheric blend of krautrock and dub disco-inspired grooves, delay-laden horns,
quirky percussion, stargazing electronics and eyes-wide-shut vocals. The dub influence is particularly notable given
Bison’s love of “versioning” tracks. Three of the tracks - “Way To LA”, “New Moon Boy”, and “Familiar Stranger” (the
latter two mixed by Conrad Idjut, who also turns the album’s title track into a clandestine, French-horn-laden late night
masterpiece) - appear in “Day” and “Night” versions. Meanwhile, previous single “Mandy” - a murky spaced-out stroll
though the collective Bison hivemind - is also included in two forms, with the Balearic stoner rock of the “Power Boy Mix”
offering a sun-kissed (but still deliciously atmospheric) reinterpretation.

Highlights are naturally plentiful, with Ursula Major’s half-spoken, half-whispered vocals wrapping themselves around
spacious rhythms, shuffling drums, twinkling, effects-laden guitars and low-slung basslines. ‘Travellers’ is an album rich
on other-worldly intent, sparse grooves and thick, enveloping production. It’s exactly the sort of album you’d expect from
musicians and producers of this calibre. We may have been waiting a while, but Bison have definitely delivered.

Existe a lenda da Phoenix, mas eu conheço uma mulher que se renova a cada dia, possui uma inquietação interna e uma inteligência emocional altíssima, estes atributos a faz renascer para a vida, todos os dias. 
O despertar da Fênix!

A fénix (português europeu) ou fênix, fênice (português brasileiro) (em grego clássico: ϕοῖνιξ) é um pássaro da mitologia grega que, quando morria, entrava em auto-combustão e, passado algum tempo, ressurgia das próprias cinzas. Outra característica da fénix é sua força, que lhe permite carregar cargas muito pesadas enquanto voa, havendo lendas nas quais chega a carregar elefantes. Finalmente, pode-se transformar numa ave de fogo.
Etimologia
A palavra latina vem do grego φοῖνιξ, phoinīx.[1] A palavra grega é atestada pela primeira vez no grego micênico po-ni-ke, que provavelmente significava 'grifo', embora pudesse significar 'palmeira'. Essa palavra é provavelmente um empréstimo de uma palavra semítica ocidental para o corante de garança, feito de Rubia tinctorum. A palavra "fenício" parece ter a mesma raiz, significando 'aqueles que trabalham com corantes vermelhos'. Assim, fênix pode significar 'o pássaro fenício' ou 'o pássaro vermelho-púrpura'. Ovídio e Marcial referem-se ao pássaro afirmando que os "assírios" o chamavam de fênix; van der Broeck, porém, demonstra que o povo que ambos chamam de "assírio" na maioria das vezes se refere, na verdade, aos fenícios. [2][3] O paralelismo simbólico de ressurgimento e imortalidade dessa ave também pode estar associado a termos e simbolismos solares da mitologia fenícia e egípcia. [3]
Características
Teria penas brilhantes, douradas, e vermelho-arroxeadas, e seria de tamanho igual ou maior do que uma águia. Segundo alguns escritores gregos, a fénix viveria exatamente quinhentos anos. Outros acreditavam que o seu ciclo de vida era de 97 200 anos. No final de cada ciclo de vida, a fénix imolava-se numa pira funerária. A longa vida da fénix e o seu dramático renascimento das próprias cinzas transformaram-na em símbolo da imortalidade e do renascimento espiritual.
Os gregos parecem ter-se baseado em Bennu, da mitologia egípcia, representado na forma de uma ave acinzentada semelhante à garça, hoje extinta, que outrora habitou o Egypto. Cumprido o ciclo de vida do Bennu, ele voaria a Heliópolis, pousaria sobre a pira do deus Rá, atearia fogo ao seu ninho e deixar-se-ia consumir pelas chamas, para no final renascer das cinzas.

Sometimes in life you find yourselves at a point where you need to walk away and leave something behind if you ever want to go back to it. Other paths must be walked, other experiences learnt from to give you a fresh view of where you’ve come from. In that sense going back to the roots, rediscovering their past with fresh eyes, is the concept behind Richard Dorfmeister & Rupert Huber’s new Tosca album, ‘Going Going Going’.

For over two decades and several albums Tosca has served as a vehicle for Richard and Rupert to express their personal moods and impressions, each release holding up a mirror to their inner lives. Now though after ten albums the journey has come full circle and once again they’ve returned to the kind of instrumental tracks, full of deep beats and dubbed out textures that made Tosca’s name.

“It just feels good to come back to our original sound,“ says Rupert Huber. “After experimenting with song structures and vocal collaborations on the last album (2014’s “Outta Here”), we were looking at how we could make a logical progression and we realized that our real strength lay in TOSCA’s roots, we just has to update that sound into something that made sense in 2017.”

The result is ‘Going Going Going’, an album that Tosca fans will immediately recognize and yet one that doesn’t just trade on former glories. Hitting the ground running opening track ‘Import Export’ sounds like a Lee Scratch Perry version of a Ennio Morricone soundtrack, a motif reoccurs throughout the album, most notably on ‘Dr Dings’, their reinterpretation of America’s classic ‘Horse With No Name’.

Like the best of Tosca’s output though ‘Going Going Going’ denies easy catergorsation taking in everything from the uneasy listening of ‘Hausner’ to excursions into House (‘Wotan’), Ambient Electronica (‘Olympia), Funk (‘Loveboat’) and beyond. Still despite an almost overabundance of ideas, in the more than capable hands of these two pioneers the result is a complex yet coherent and confident album that stands shoulder to shoulder with the best of their storied back catalogue.
