Strange

The Red Jets were a band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada active between 2003 and 2010.

Siblings Renato (guitar, vocals) and Amanda Giamberardino (drums, vocals) started the band as a duo and played a few shows around Ottawa, including as an anchor act on the Chez Stage at the now-defunct Ottawa SuperEx in 2003 and 2004.  

Later in 2004/2005, Daniele Costanzo joined on bass to complete their lineup. They'd remain a trio until their disbandment.

Throughout their active years the group released a self-titled EP, had radio interviews and songs featured locally on Live 88.5, nationally on CBC Radio, and won a $5,000 development grant through the Live 88.5 Big Money Shot (a local "battle of the bands" competition in Ottawa).

Their last show was in 2010 at the Live Lounge (another now-defunct Ottawa live music venue that was owned and operated by Newcap Radio/Live 88.5 local radio station).  

Although the Red Jets remained locally-based, they built a solid reputation opening for contemporaries and Canadian headline acts during tour stops through Ottawa, including: Trooper, April Wine, and Said the Whale.
