Celebrating its 4th year , the UK's most scenic reggae music festival returns to the Old Town Bowl , Swindon. SAXON SOUND INTERNATIONAL

The legendary Saxon Sound International are known as one of the finest U.K Sound Systems, regularly producing dubplates and touring worldwide. Saxon has produced many artists such as Papa Levi, Maxi Priest, Smiley Culture and Tippa Irie to name a few. Annually hosting a stage at Nottinghill Carnival we are delighted to have Saxon Sound bring their vibe to The Reggae Garden 2014.Saxon Sound International

EARL SIXTEEN & THE UPPERCUT BAND:

Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica before Earl left school he was already touring as lead singer of the Flaming Phonics. Over the next decade Earl’s solo career led him to work with Jamaica’s heavyweight recording artists including Lee Scratch Perry , Augusto Pablo, and Linval Thompson to name but a few. During this period his timeless ‘Love is a Feeling’ was produced at Studio One Records. Earl relocated to England in the late 80’s joining forces with the Mad Professor. As well as being an active member of the dubwise band Dreadzone , Earl also tours with reggae influenced electronic giants Leftfield as well as running his own record label. Earl Sixteen is a global reggae ambassador, and we look forward to welcoming him to this years Reggae Garden festival.

ZION TREE BAND FT. BARRY DREAD

Zion Tree are a 13 piece reggae band accompanied by the Brassika Horns. Part of the Subajah Family, they are culturally diverse, conscious and a powerful collaboration of talent. They will be performing at this years festival with bassist/singer/songwriter Barry Dread. Barry Dread delivers a concious message through his music and is guarenteed to bring a positive vibe to The Reggae Garden 2014

PETER SPENCE:

Reggae music has flourished in England like no other place outside Jamaica. At least two generations of talented UK artists and producers have laid down musical roots that are now celebrated far beyond the confines of the inner city communities that first nurtured them. One such UK artist whose name is on a lot of people's lips right now is Peter Spence; a Birmingham born artist with street credentials to spare, but whose gifts increasingly demand a more international setting. Providing lovers rock for the masses, we look forward to having Peter Spence play alongside the Friendly Fire Band.

FRIENDLY FIRE BAND:

We welcome back The Reggae Garden residents, that are Friendly Fire Band for the 4th consecutive year. They operate firstly as a band who writes, records and performs their own distinctive original material with talent like Tomlin Mystic and LionArt. This year we look forward to them backing Peter Spence and the Friendly Fire Band mic men Lion Art & Tomlin Mystic.

JAMATONE:

Jamatone is a Roots, Reality, Reggae, & Dancehall band. Promoting unification near and far. they always come with something new and fresh, they deliver real music to get you in the mood to dance the day away. The Reggae Garden family look forward to introducing them to the Old Town Bowl.

TERRORIST NUCLEAR SOUNDSYSTEM:

We are pleased to welcome back Swindons King Sound and Reggae Garden resident selectors - Terrorist Nuclear Soundsystem, behind the controls for their forth successive year.

DJ FEVA:

DJ Feva:Original turntablist DJ feva breathes rhythm with his reggae mash ups and cuts. Fever brings fire to the decks and has been energising crowds from Birmingham to Brazil.

MESSENJAH YOUTH:

Messenjah YouthThe next generation of soundsystem culture. Swindon's young selectors Messenjah Youth continue to rock events and festivals across the UK and Europe promoting a positive message through music.

ZEEKS:

ZeeksHosting this years festival is Swindon's finest reggae and dancehall artist - Zeeks. With an impressive back catalogue of original material, his vibe and stage presence always brings a great energy to the show.

FOR THE KIDS:

There will be a children's areaprovided by The Youth Life Project (TYLP) which will include a bouncy castle and face painting.

We are proud to announce that Moshan Grill will be providing Caribbean cuisine for The Reggae Garden Family Festival 2014, all the favourite dishes will be on the menu as well as options for the ital palate and for the children.
