This week's guest mix is by Oldschool Dj and RE-JEN Resident Laynee. One of the busiest Djs on Dublins oldschool scene , Laynee is a regular face in most of the capitals clubs and has been plying her trade with some of the best in the business.  From warm up sets to for the likes of Capella, Leroy Thornhill, 808 state and Billy Nasty, to her own show each Monday 6pm til 8pm on biggest disco radio, she has become one of Irelands most respected female Dj's and all for good reason. Laynee can mix it up with the best, having played alongside numerous collectives mixing both Digitally and vinyl , she genre hops from oldskool to house and even techno giving her a unique versatility that very few can rival. The Night Continues.......

Recreating the vibe of the Olympic Ballroom Dublin theses mixes are a simulation of one final Goodbye party that never was, with the resident DJ's  Gerry Carey and Mark Kavanagh (simulated) bringing you the vibe and energy of the Olympic Ballroom that was open 1990 - 1994. 
A five part mix with our DJ's playing one final goodbye party taking to the Decks for the final (the night that never was) all nighter farewell to the Olympic which would have been around March 1994 if it had taken place. 
In this Mix DJ Gerry Carey finishes his epic 6 hour set bringing it up a gear.
A lot of these tunes were being played right up until the end Of the Olympic mostly from 1993 and 1994 and will be known to people familiar with Gerry's sets at the time. 

Also in this mix it shows the strength of dance music in Dublin at the time with 2 of my all-time favourite Irish house tacks with Liam Dollard's Mad Sound Disease - Moonboom and Dave McDonnell's Mind Over Matter - Jacob's Ladder both absolute Ballroom anthems......

Olympic Classics Hour One: The Button Factory Sept 22 2012

Part 3 of some of my favourite System tunes I recorded from the original vinyls from my collection with a few dodgy mixes & scratched records thrown in for atmosphere. This mix is all the big bangers from later on in the Saturday night that Tommy used to play. 
My first proper dance club experience back in 1996 to 1998, this is a dedication to resident Dj's Tommy Stewert, Colm Doogan & Gerry Moore who we danced to every Fri & Sat night, thank you for the memories.
