I love all curries, I adore cumin
I would even eat a curried Moomin
Vindaloo, Madras, rice or a cheese naan
Next day arse is like the flag of Japan

"Good idea," I answered, "Why not?"

I'd eat curry for every single meal
Pizza, pasta, steak they have no appeal
I won't eat salad, no, I'm not crazy
Oh I much prefer a good Jalfrezi
Don't give me lobster, it is far too posh
Unless you cover it with Rogan Josh
I will never eat salmon or tuna
Unless they're hidden in chicken Bhuna

One of the continuing Tales of the Misunderstoodlies.

The Deeply Darkly

From corners in attics to under the stairs, 
A fearful just sits very still.
It silently stays until day runs away
And night time comes over the hill.

So deepfully dingy, so duskily dim,
The Darkly comes night after night. 
Bringing along the dreads that belong 
In dustbins and far out of sight.

When bedtime is looming, the blackness appears
And children hide under the sheets.
Shivering, shaking, quivering, quaking,
While shadows run in from the streets.

Now, while we've been sitting and reading this book,
The Darkly had found where we hide.
With hands all a-flutter and starting to shudder...
I think we must turn on the light!

"Please don't do that" says a deep tender voice,
"l'm afraid of the glimmery glare!"
"You‘re scared of the light? Well, that can't be right!"
We reply to the deeply dark air.

"Oh, l'm quite scared you see, as when people see me
They run for the light switch in fear
But what you don't know is that when the light glows
The Darklies just don't disappear!"

"We run to the corners and under the chairs
And remember the goodlies we had
The smiles and the peeps, while watching you sleep
Make daytime seem ever so sad"

"So, when all the nightlies make slumbering sounds,
Please don't reach out for the light.
Although you won't see me, I promise you dearly
l'll help you sleep soundly each night"

Perhaps we were wrong, maybe darkness belongs
As a friend in the nightly parade
Of stars and moon beams and wondrous dreams
And not one to make us afraid.

And so Deeply Darkly is not all it seems,
In fact, you can say it's quite good!
The darkness, you see, is light fast asleep,
It's so awfully misunderstood!

For some reason, nearly all my songs (electronic/pop music with very silly lyrics) seem to be about animals or food. And considering I live in France, animals and food are essentially the same thing.
