Ta-ku made his live debut at New York's MoMA PS1 in October 2015.

Regan Matthews, better known by his stage name Ta-ku, is an Australian musician, producer and photographer.

His debut Songs to Break Up To EP was released 8 October 2013 via HW&W Records and Sunday Records. His follow-up Songs to Make Up To EP was released in June 2015 via Future Classic and Fool's Gold Records,which debuted at No. 18 of the ARIA Album Chart.

Ta-ku has featured on Boiler Room and toured around Australia as part of Listen Out festival in 2014. In May 2015, Ta-ku was a Youth Speaker at TEDxSydney. Matthews is also a co-founder of Weston's Barbershop in Northbridge, Perth.

According to data from the 2011 Census, India continues to be overwhelmingly young, with 41% of its population below the age of 20. 
Moreover by 2020, the average age in India will be 29 and it is set to become the world’s youngest country with 64% of its population in the working age group.

This indicator points to the widespread vitality of Indian culture in all art field such as cinema, music, design and architecture.
A large young population also means the entertainment industry is rapidly developing and dance music plays a major role in it as the natural social aggregator.
Clubbing is booming everywhere , first of all in the big cities and then also in smaller ones. Numerous festivals , often very well organized, pop up ; many young musicians are active in the field of electronic music. 

Indian TechExpress is a sample from the future of electronic dance music. You won't find much "Indian sound" in it , as traditionally defined. Paradoxically you'll find more Africa in it. Indian youths look at the world and Africa seems to attract them more than their own music tradition. Most of them are young artists , some actually very young, and very well represent a movement that is developing in the fascinating and creative chaos that contemporary Indian society is.

Formerly known as Sleepwalker, Small Town Guy - aka Shantanu Ghosh hails from the coastal town of Pondicherry. Known for his dancefloor selections which are not confined by genre, his sets are a hybrid between nu disco and techno with slight world-music influences.

Having performed at GO:MADras, Shanti Jatra and Future Theory - and as an active promoter in Pondicherry - Small Town Guy is slowly gaining traction as one of India’s leading curators who is constantly experimenting and re-inventing dance floor music. 

His latest mix for Wild City merges disco with hints of techno and funk and through the course of an hour features tracks from the likes of Psychemagik, Afrolicious and Stavroz - representing various areas of the dance music spectrum, that interest him. Following is a mix that merges Psychedelic disco encapsulated into peak time house bangers.

Pierre-Claver Akendengué (born April 25, 1943) is a musician and composer of Gabon. In 1997, he received his country's "Prix d'excellence" at the Africa Music awards in Libreville, honoring his body of work. He also serves as a cultural advisor for the government of Gabon.

Born on the island of Awuta, which is located just off the coast from Port-Gentil, Akendengué went to school in Port-Gentil, then studied psychology at the University of Caen in France during the 1960s. While in France, he met singer Mireille, who encouraged his musical interests.

In 1974, Akendengué recorded his first album, Nandipo, which consisted of songs of his own composition, sung in French and Nkomi, accompanied by guitar, women choir, bass and the percussion of Nana Vasconcelos. He later set to music poems by P. E. Mondjegou, such as "Le Chant du Coupeur d'Okoumé" ("The Song of the Okoumé Cutter"). Returning to Gabon, he studied solfeggio and plainchant at a Catholic college, and presented spectacles showcasing traditional Gabonese forms in a concert setting.

In 1986, he received a doctorate from the University of Paris for his study of religion and education among the Nkomi.

Since his first public gig in 2006, Sleepwalker has become one of the upcoming talents of alternative dance music in India. Despite his earlier partiality towards quality headphone music, he has expanded his territory onto dancefloors as well. His sets revolve around hybrid forms of Minimal Techno, Progressive, Breaks & Nu Disco. 

After a few early residencies, gigs in some of the country’s finest clubs and stellar sets at festivals like GO:MADras, Shanti Jatra (Nepal), Springzouk & India Surf Festival, the Sleepwalker is recognized for his arsenal of futuristic sounds & his experimental approach towards dancefloors.

He has shared the stage with international acts like Tom Hades, Tim Xavier, Jim Rivers, Manuel de la Mare, Darren Emerson, Sam Paganini, Kid Creme, Juno Reactor, The Scratch Bandits, Anil Chawla, Hilight Tribe, Kliment, Electrypnose, Mad Maxx, Vinayak^a, Kohra & Ozzy (Tribeadelic Recs) and the list keeps getting bigger with every season..

Shantanu’s curiosity towards sound has been the main factor nurturing his research on strong sensations & human response to music. Being among the forward thinking djs of his generation, his eccentric selection of music, his genre-defying palette and his constantly evolving style make Sleepwalker Pondy’s premiere dance music export today.
