Triple DIstilled &amp; Slightly Chilled.
A poem/song I wrote a long time ago after splitting from my 7 year relationship and a 1 year marriage. After breaking down and writing loads of poems and songs again "well until there was more paper in my house than anything else actually"
A friend of mine found these lyrics and really liked them. He put some chords together for me and managed to complete an acoustic rough recorded version, that unfortunately neither of us have anymore. Anyway after performing this solo a couple of times in Glasgow and London.I was Lucky enough to bump into Jake Chalker on the Willingham from Cambridge bus he was playing some amazing guitar, no fret wanking just beauty and he had great timing. Without Jake there is no Sobriquet's.
I had a chat and we got together and recorded a version of Triple Distilled using Amy Carrol for backing (Also known for her work with the Binewski Murder). The 1st Recording of the track will be available on our Souncloud/Myspace and Facebook.
Now the Version you are about to hear was Played on Tony Robinsons BBC Radio 6 just before 12 a' clock midnight. The Band believe its a powerful song and when really listened to had the eeriness of a feeling or situation we have all been in before.
I will Make sure all the worth while versions are available to listen to.

This is an acoustic version of the track from the early days. Amy Carrol provided the harnomies. After this she teamed up with a friend Barney and they gave birth to the Binewski Murder.

According to my bible is the pure genius of Jake Chalker. The recording quality and timing with the equipment  that he had to do this has created an exceptional sound for the track. He made my lyrics just flow. We worked very hard at this. It's all in the title people enjoy... The Sobriquet's

According To My Bible

Thank's to Jakes sister Rose for singing the original on this track. We were able to string this rather rough recording together. This was done in Jakes's room in Willingham. Neither me Rose or Jake were in a great state we all ended up recording a really silly song Spin when we finished this. (that's a bit of fun really). Hopefully we can have Rose in the Recording studio again soon. (suck a sweet voice) and just what the song needed. Anyway  here's Withering Rose Recorded using the vocals of Jo Hadler. Again an amazing vocalist certainly with the amount of time she had to do this.!!
