well…i thought that 1 minute is too short for a track…60 seconds of sounds could be a classy loop or a nice intro..but a track needs 2 minutes to deliver a real story..for example queen´s we will rock you (2:00 minutes) or at least 1:30 like hardcore or punk shows us…at my first try-out i capitulated, cuz i´m used to create songs about 5 minutes (a lot of great songs need more than 5 minutes…for example queen´s (yeah..queen again:)bohemian rhapsody (5:42)…the typical radio edit (song) is about 3:20 i guess…ignoring the standard i love to create tracks with over length…THIS time i challenged my self for the 2nd time & i proofed myself that i can create a 1 minute track, which satisfies my feeling of a track/claim of a track…without further a do i present to you: "The Star of People's Friendship (German: Stern der Völkerfreundschaft), aka Star of Nations' Friendship, was an order awarded by the German Democratic Republic (GDR).(wikipedia)"…i used my great voice again :))..it´s a fragment from my fav bathroom recordings..i was reading out of an old gdr lexicon…an article about gdr medals (order)…like "held der arbeit…held der ddr…" = "working class hero…gdr hero.."…living nowadays in east-germany i never experienced the system of the gdr (1949-1990)…i´m not making fun of the past, neither i want a    totalitarian regime…it just sounded good in my ears..that´s all…freedom for all :))…and have fun with the cheesy vocabulary of the outgunned german socialism…ironically was & is the "stasi" (gdr-secret service) a big topic in german society..nowadays we have the nsa…nothing changes..blah blah…stay open-minded & keep on rocking´ in a free world!!!! peace!!! love!!! respect!!!! yours trULI

some days ago i asked marta aka lady o. ( https://soundcloud.com/o-tune ) if she would like to have an uli-mashup, cuz i´m still outta ideas for another & new electro whatever track...well...she wanted a special terminator (I&II) mashup...but i also used movie score stuff of the 4th part (according to wikipedia it´s a kinda reminescent score to the first terminator...hmmm...don´t believe the hype!!!) + bad to the bone (george thorogood and the destroyers) + you could be mine (guns´n´roses) + movie scenes + lots of drums (samples & addictive drums (vst))...basslines created with free vst tone2 firebird2...daw like always ableton..btw ableton´s sampler was used for extra bass/beat/fx creations (including terminator fx-soundz)..btw...arnold schwarzenegger (austrian) speaks german, but he doesn´t dub hisself...thank heaven...cheers to all voice actors...and sorry for using the english version :))...enough blah blah...time to terminate..i´ll be back...uli

i don´t believe in the cheesy concept of a beautiful ideal world (heile welt)- so i don´t need to listen trivial plastic pop like radio listeners aka conformists do..and i would (normally) never listen to abba...well..i´m no fan of plastic pop :))...but i´m a fan of myself...my skillz..my cleverness...etc...i´m just a handsome genius...and so fucking unassuming :))...but why did i produce an abba-mashup? kinkyness? i was drunk & promised to do it...sometimes i´m a man of my word...and abba ain´t so bad at all...chiquitita & one of us are quite allright...besides the cheesines :))..what i never appreciate was the blond & boring girl & the brunette wasn´t any better...but all videos promoted the not existing beauty & the (moral) uprightness of abba´s lifestyle...boring + silky bandmembers - that´s not rock´n´roll...i want the real shit...that´s why i need "dirt" in my music & live...i only live once & do what i want...and i think abba were never kinda real...pure kitsch without any demons in their music...perfect harmonies, but no soul..in my ears/opinion..that´s why i tried to show that abba could have sound(ed) better...more dirt...more power...thanks to some hardrock guitars (a lot of zz top - btw the title means from Abba  to ZZ Top)...this mashup includes 18 abba-tracks (one night in bangkok was from benny or the other b-boy..and had to be part of this mashup, ´cuz i like it)...some sung by abba..others from: banarama, madness, yngwie malmsteen, james last, max raabe, mike tyson, queensryche & 2 swedish metal/rockbands + erasure (the terrific synth for example)...all tracks are regarding to abba...except some drums & guitars of zz top´s "afterburner" & "recycler" album..the winner takes it all - i deserve a pULItzer price + emmy for this terrific mashup...gimme gimme gimme :))
