The album Empire East reflects current world events and gives new direction to drum &amp; bass and to the Slovak electronic music at all. The album contains various tracks, some of them have been made in cooperation with the respected names not only from Slovakia but also from abroad, such as the rappers Dramatikz, Tragikomix, Slovak singer Dada, producers from the formation Ear Drum Kru, English DC Breaks, The Infected or Special ED.

We figured it was time for some d&b again, we had a few tracks lying around for a while that we wanted to finish and put out and we had 2 collabs that went well together. We wanted to call it the 'Tryhard EP', cause all the tracks were so full on. Then Nik & Karol (khomatech.com) started on the artwork, and couldnt really come up with anyuthing cool with that name, so we decided 'Imperial' was a better name. The artwork took about a week to make. We are very proud of this EP.

Imperial w/ Phace 
Phace came out to Groningen again, as he tends to do, to do music. We started this one without working on the main groove first, Florian had brought this awesome chord progrssion. We made the intro and progression from it, which is quite different musically from our normal stuff. Then we went a bit theatrical with the music, i guess we kind of suprised ourselves with the intensity of the drop. But it was refreshing to do. And it´s been going down rather well in our sets..

Tryhard 
This is an older track that has had quite a few incarnations. It used to be called ´lomp´, which translates to crude, or blunt. We had it lying around unfinished for a long time, and a certain youtube set rip was getting a lot of love, so we figured we'd finish it. Changed the mix, added a rollout section, etc. One of the inspriations for this track is Bad Company - 'Dogfight'.. such a sick tune.

Dustup w/ The Upbeats 
Our friends The Upbeats came down to Groningen amidst one of their Europe tours and we hung out, got in the studio, found an old unused bass riff, used it in the buildup, recorded all of us going 'HA' and 'ZU', worked on drum fills for a long time, temporarly called the tune 'Pumpers', jumped around in the studio and voila! 'Dust Up' was born.

Containment 
This track has had many faces also. It started as a bit of a Kemal tribute and and an attempt to do as many things with synths as possible, like the main drums for example (FM8). Along the way it became a journey back into the dark spacious sound of early 2000 era D&B.

DIASCOPE 002 is here.
While celebrating  and reflecting the past 10 years of Neonlight we came across of six tracks that have been released around 2009 and 2010 on Trust in Music. 

Regretfully the label does not exist anymore. So we decided to remaster these pretty cool tracks and make them available for everyone again.

For us every track is connected to memories and personal stories.  The Frozen Tape (formerly named as "frozen feet" - because of Jakob's freeeking cold flat share room in 2005), System Error (collaboration with the extremely talented Hedj - miss you bro - R.i.P.), Dessert (good times and vibes with Miss Redflower), Epidemic & Enter (first online collaboration buddy RolaR) and last but not least THE BLACKOUT (timezone collaboration hustle with Kiro from California) may recall good memories for the ones, or be completely new for the others. 

However, we hope you (still) like it as we do. :-)

Biography
The formation Soundphreakers (Nois &amp; Neon) stood by the birth of the Slovak drum&amp;bass scene. Their roots stretch deeply back and surely a lot of primacies in this music style belong to them. As early as 1997 they recorded their first stuff which was used as basis for the album Just Meat. This album was style-heterogeneous and it sought the seeds of their musical advancement. In 2000 their tracks were played in the club Uclub (nowadays the legendary Subclub), two years later they released their second album Notelles Sphere of Infection. In the same year they also started the drum&amp;bass label Phreak da Sound that through the compilations Remark the Silence united and supported the Slovak drum&amp;bass scene. These compilations were the first introduction of producers’ names, which nowadays represent the elite not only of the Slovak music scene, such as Ear Drum Kru, Snippah, Destroyah, B-complex, L Plus, Brooklyn, Reverb, Junkett, Touchwood and many others. In 2005 Soundphreakers started to present drum&amp;bass music style to general public and they released their third album Nu Breed christened by English producer LOXY from Renegade Hardware, which is the first Slovak drum&amp;bass album at all. The Radio FM announced it as the album of the week. The track "Just feat. Dada" topped the Slovak Gold and TOP FM charts and Radio FM putted it into their B-rotation. The Slovak academy of popular music IFPI placed this album to the top ten of the best-selling albums in Slovakia for a few weeks and it also got a nomination for Aurel 2006 awards as the only one drum&amp;bass album in the Alternative music category. Together with the album they released a video, the first Slovak drum&amp;bass video clip at all, for their track "Just feat. Dada" it was broadcasted by the commercial TV Markiza and the music TV MusicBox. In 2009 as a part of “Slovak Drum and bass Awards 2008” contest the internet portal Dnb.sk awarded the formation Soundphreakers in the Best Slovak producer category and their track "Terrorist" in the Best Slovak track category.

The Soundphreakers have introduced themselves at many events not only in Slovakia but also abroad, e.g. they performed as headliners in the cradle of the Drum&amp;Bass in the UK and they released some tracks through the digital publishers Special Records and Digital Tunes. Their latest production has been played with positive response also in some foreign radios (Leith FM, Bassdrive, Shedbass, Reputation FM, Barebass etc.), their dubplates are very popular among foreign Djs, producers a publishers too (DJ Kid, Decoy, Paul Reset, Miss Reprazent, DJ Crissy Criss, Primo etc.).
