Black Light Disco returns to the myhouseradio.fm airwaves with wind turbines set to ‘Full On’ to enter our disco slipstream. 

Starting things off for this week’s show is our host and BLD resident, Goz - fresh from a gruelling transatlantic trip to fix the phase emitters at the top of BLD Towers. Expect some corkers to be pulled out of his rucksack of grooves! 

Our guest this week is Italian DJ, producer / remixer - the one and only Mauro Vecchi! 

Mauro has been self-confessed rhythm addict since the 1990s, and preaches the word of funk, disco, soulful house and anything with a groovy feeling and positive vibe. His sets spin from downtempo grooves up to quality disco/house, from vinyl to digital it makes no difference to him; the most important thing is good music! Mauro's passion for music shines through in everything he does. Always active in programming for clubs and events in his area and beyond, Mauro’s music can be heard on monthly shows including Uptown Disco Session in U-FM Radio (Rome), The Word Is Groove -  Radio RapTZ (Paris) and in his very popular Mixcloud channel.

Mauro also started his own Bandcamp page where you can find plenty of tasty edits and remixes, but above all he publishes first official tracks on And Friends Records and place some edits in prestigious collections like Discoholics Anonymous and Yacht Disco Edits / Too Slow To Disco.
A regular artist appearing on the excellent ‘And Friends’ VA series, Discoholics Anonymous Recordings and the prestigious Too Slow To Disco Series, Mauro is fully immersed in all things groovy and we are so delighted to have him on for his BLD debut. You’re gonna love it!!

It’s Funkier Radio’s second birthday! Hard to believe it’s two years since I started this little show, and I’m still loving the opportunity to spread a little musical happiness every 2 weeks. Hour 1 is standard Funkier Radio fare, with a few promos and new bits, some dusty old oddities, edits, reworks, some Parliament and the odd dodgy blend. I finish my hour with a divine Marvin Gaye track that I can’t believe I’ve never played on the show before. 
 
Hour 2 is all about my bearded Bradford brother Iry Sabir. Iry’s a regular in the radio show chatrooms that music addicts like me hang out in, and he’s not only a top bloke, but a top DJ too. Iry’s put together a real treat of a mix - an all vinyl extravaganza of smooth, sweet soulful house grooves.

Funkier Radio Episode 55 (Iry Sabir Guest Mix)

Pucker up, people - Samosa Funk is back on the Myhouse Radio airwaves with another Les Inferno and DeGama inspired smack to the proverbial kisser! 

In the red corner wearing the red shorts with gold piping we have the insatiable Sensei of Grooves , Les Inferno. Expect some trademark combo punches from Les Inferno which include The Gap Band, Rena Scott, Rick James and Herb Alpert. Hit after hit until your jaw is left swinging. 

In the opposite corner, wearing the blue shorts with the silver trim is DeGama aka The Dark Destroyer. This guy knows how to pack a punch, and with knockout blows from Dirty Elements & Drunk Drivers, Uptown Funk, Musta and Monsieur Van Pratt, you’ll be on the canvas begging for mercy. Or more.
