Jorkes is one half of the label Freeride Millenium with Daniel Rajcsanyi. As a producer she uses a variety of sounds and ideas that have been released so far on Ombra International, Super Drama Records and Freeride Millenium. She holds a residency at the Romantica club in Stuttgart and a monthly show at Radio 80000 in Munich. Her sounds have a romantic approach to party, be it in every safe space you want to imagine.

This month I'm joined by an artist I've been a fan of for 15 years plus years. With releases on almost every significant label, from the last decade, Kasper Bjørke has positioned himself as one of the most renowned and versatile artists to emerge from the Danish electronic music scene; both as a Dj and producer. 

Kasper Bjørke just released his Balearic and 90s dream house-infused studio album “Sprinkles” this summer - and now Kasper has invited a bunch of next-level artists from around the world to remix selection of the tracks from the album. DJ Rocca is a producer and musician. He started to produce in late 90s working on some drum&bass and breakbeat singles as Maffia Soundsystem from the same name club in Italy, where he was the main resident DJ. In his career DJ Rocca has collaborated with Howie B, Pressure Drop, Zed Bias, Dimitri From Paris, Chris Coco, Daniele Baldelli and Jazzanova producing singles, remixes and albums for some of the best European labels as Sonar Kollektiv, Compost, Classic, Rekids, Skint, Hell Yeah, Rebirth, Internasjonal, Futureboogie Recordings, !K7, Deep Freeze, Tirk, International Feel, Defected, Skint, Gomma, Rotters Golf Club, Faze Action Recordings.
DJ Rocca works with Dimitri From Paris and Daniele Baldelli. With the legendary Dimitri From Paris he has given voice to various projects: a new electro-disco act entitled “Erodiscotique” with an album on Japanese “BBQ” label, four huge EP’s on “Gomma” and “Hell Yeah” records, various remixes and some tracks included in two compilations respectively entitled Knights Of The Playboy Mansions, mixed by Dimitri From Paris and Bob Sinclair, and Back In The House, mixed by Dimitri; both compilations are released by Defected records.
With Daniele Baldelli, DJ Rocca has released two albums, “Podalirius” in 2012 and “Quagga” in 2017, in addition to some 12″ on “Is It Balearic?”, "Rogue Cat Sounds", “Nein Records” and "File Under Disco". With the award-winning jazz musician Franco D’Andrea he has formed the Electric Tree Project, a contemporary music trio, hovering between jazz and electronics, with a double album released in April 2016 by Parco Della Musica Records, defined as record of the month for the magazine Musica Jazz (June 2016). The collaboration with such a great name of the jazz scene, moves on with the realization of an octet and the production of a new album entitled “Intervals I” and "Intervals II", recorded live at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. As a producer, DJ Rocca is also part of Ajello (with Taver), Supersonic Lovers (with Marcello Giordani) and Crimea X (with Jukka Reverberi). He has remixed big names such as Oliver Koletzki, Luke Solomon, Blaze, Isolee, Pete Herbert, Bjorn Torske, Chris Coco, Dimitri From Paris, Andrew Weatherall, Justin Robertson, Soul Clap.
DJ Rocca also runs his own label: “Danny Was A Drag King” and releases music for artists like Ajello, Supersonic Lovers, Luminodisco, Verdo, Marcello Giordani and Hard Ton. In 2010, with the project DJ Rocca and 5th Suite, he reached the top of the dance charts in Brazil, with the huge track “Party Bobba”.

Ansonica is an Italian deejay based in Berlin.

Obsessed with disco music since she was a kid, thanks to the influence of her mother she literally grew up with spaghetti and Italo disco. She spent several years following closely the club scene in Italy, working as DJ Host and PR at Ribbon Club Culture in Central Italy until she moved to Berlin in 2015.

After a long time of being only in the “backstage”, she has decided to start playing and creating her own "colourful" and authentic music style fully shaped by her taste and personality mixing Hi-NRG Disco with diverse House and Electronic vibes.

She has been playing regularly in Berlin in clubs like Kitkat, Bulbul, Klunkerkranich, Oxi, and Ava Club, to name a few, with Disco Bizarre and Toytonics crews. Her mission is to make Disco glamorous and exciting again and bring the dancers on a fresh, sweaty, fun, and always a “little bit Italian” journey.

She is a member of female:pressure, a transnational online database and network of women, AFAB, transgender, transfeminine, transmasculine, intersex [+gender optional], genderqueer, gender nonconforming, a-gender and/or non-binary DJs, musicians, composers, producers, visual artists, agents, journalists and researchers working in the realms of electronic music and visual arts. 

She has launched her own party series in Berlin all focused on musical and social diversity and inclusivity joining forces with other FLINTA artists.

Joris Heijkant is one of the founders of Amsterdam-based TANK Kollektiv, which hosts a radio show and organises small events. His sets are slow and synth-heavy, relying on genres such as electronica, dark disco and kraut. When playing with usual b2b partner Reyk as TANK Kollektiv the music gets a little faster and more danceable.

This mix is loosely based on a long warm-up set I played at Sissi’s in Amsterdam. A bit slower tempo’s, a few good chuggers and some hazy electronica make it slightly more of a listening set, but it’s nice to put the slightly weirder side of TANK in the spotlights for once :).

Ana Helder is certainly one of the female DJs who first represented the sound and soul of South America in electronic music.
Since a while she lives between two continents and likes to sit on the fence: Argentinian breed Ana Helder is part of the global team Cómeme and as a producer, she has develop a steady, growing discography with a deep musicality and an open attitude to house music, amplifying the genre with discreet boogie, disco and funk particles.
Her DJ sets are dedicated to the rough riding way of dance music, where a loco kind of Jack is king and wily rhythms thrill your senses. When she is not touring around the globe, she dances with her South American peers in cities like her hometown Rosario, Buenos Aires, Brazil or Santiago de Chile.
In 2020´s may she has dropped “Landpark” a five new tunes EP on Müstique that if you listen you’ll wish acid never dies and a month later she debuts on Optimo Music Digital Danceforce with “Boleto 101” EP where Some psychedelic overdubs on a Minimoog fill the funky space.
