Stockholm Syndrome Au |  Nu Wave Techno EBM Dark Disco | Tilt Shift Tuesday 20th Feb 2024

This set is the Re-Creation of my set from this year's Motion Festival.  Unfortunately, it wasn't recorded at the time. Had so many DM & requests for it after the event figured I had to re-create it. 

Pulling it from my USB History and hitting record in the studio didn't feel right so decided to re-do it live on stream. By doing it this way my hope is I bake in some of that live, in-the-moment nrg, rather than a clinical studio mix.

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. The selective focus that can be achieved by both tilting and shifting movements, It's compelling because the effect is different from that which you may have become accustomed to. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.
