This song is originally by Lily's from their 1993 album 'A Brief History of Amazing Letdowns,' an album I've loved since I stumbled across it about 3 years ago. One day last year, we were playing the album and Kira became obsessed with this song and it quickly became the soundtrack to everything we did for a few months straight. Cooking? "Ginger." Driving to the pharmacy? "Ginger" Can't think of another song as good to follow listening to "Ginger?" Well... "Ginger." 

So for Valentine's Day I recorded this cover for Kira. Though this was never meant to be heard by anyone other than her, we recently learned that last week marked the 30th anniversary of this song* and so why not release it for such a special occasion?

* After some research online, there appears to be multiple dates listed for the release of this song and EP but considering we learned about the anniversary from someone who worked on the record, we're going to go ahead and run with this date!
