Framtiden is the third album from The Sweptaways. For this album the group that started the Swedish indie choir wave have written their own lyrics – ”lyrics by us, for us and about us” – brought to life through new original music by Swedish artists and composers. Framtiden is released on December 2nd on The Sweptaways’ own label Ooh Aah Records & Publishing. In conjunction with the album, the label will also release The Sweptaways Song Book – a book of original scores, lyrics, texts and photos from The Sweptaways’ ten year period as a group.

The Sweptaways are 20 women singing choir pop songs, dressed in colour coordinated or themed costumes. The Stockholm-based choir was formed in 2003 and since 2006 the group has released two albums and a number of EPs. The Sweptaways have collaborated with artists such as Robyn, Howlin’ Pelle, Jens Lekman and Marit Bergman as well as performed at numerous Swedish venues and festivals over the course of ten years.

Their third album Framtiden is released on December 2nd 2013 on their own label Ooh Aah Re¬cords & Publishing. The songs from the album are also published in a note book: The Sweptaways Song Book is filled with sheet music, song lyrics, texts and photographs from The Sweptaways’ ten year history. The group that started the Swedish indie choir wave open up their secret sheet music folders and invite you to sing along.
