We all know Belgians for their chocolate but Mickey takes the sweetness of this track to a higher level. And not in a corny way. On the contrary, in a delicate, elegant, thoughtful way just as we know the Belgian producer. For „Sweet Baby” he carefully doses the beeps and clicks with a bit of a dreamy vibe, topped of with intriguing vocals from heaven..

Its been a little over four years since Kellerkind released his first song to the public ear. Sirion Records gladly offered him the platform to do so then and achieved the project "Bergluft" together, which received massive credits worldwide. This was the kick-off to his music career and was followed by many releases on renowned labels such as Stil Vor Talent, Flash Rec. or Hive Audio. Nevertheless he remained active with Sirion Records as well through remixes for other projects or also with his own vinyl release "Altro Mondo". The possibility to tell an extended story is the appeal of making an album for Kellerkind. This is his chance to introduce tracks that arent mainly focused on being "dance floor" music. He integrates this quite aptly and constructively into the album. The rather simple track titles represent moving moments in his musical development. Starting off with a quite jazzy number he makes full circle back to his roots in disco on the dance floor. As the title of the main track says "Disco on the Dancefloor" is ideally suited fort he dance floor with is groovy bass and poignant disco stabs, ready to thrill the masses. The rhythm and atmosphere of this song make summer approach just a little quicker. Continuing with "Its Like" - a rather raw number, shaped by its driving bass line, which takes the buildup of the album further and with its compelling vocals manages to contrast from classic deep- tech house songs. Kellerkind cranks it up with "Triple Distilled" - organs, trumpets, flutes and synchs. A truly musical piece, destined to make you dance. "Its 2AM" keeps that pace of movement. The catchy voices add that something special to the song. "Backflash" is next - this track also appeared on Kellerkinds recently released EP on Stil Vor Talent. Mighty sounds, staged dramatically - a perfect transition to "Play it Loud". Kellerkind relies entirely on melodic bass line at the center of this track and its strong sub bass to pull you in. The precisely placed, bizarre vocal cuts maintain the songs diversity and tension. This is one not to be missed on the dance floor. Concluding the Album shouldnt get your heart pumping, but rather melting into deeper, quieter tracks in which the artist takes us. The final track, the perfect ending to the album, is an incredibly melancholic chord sequence added to a cozy beat. Truly a successful, exciting, well told story. With their variations, the bonus tracks are an excellent addition to Kellerkinds signature style. None lesser than Channel X (Stil vor Talent), Animal Trainer (Stil vor Talent) and Jon Donson (Sirion Records) did the honors.

Hi guys,

Trying out something new here. This is something that was requested on Facebook. If popular, I'm going to start posting vocals, stems and remix packs from classic and new tracks of mine. 

This first one is very special. Jan and I sat around an old rickety Steinway piano in Planet 4 studios in Manchester. It was in our first hour meeting, we began with some proper english breakfast tea and sat down to write. Unknowingly, I was playing (in a 5 chord sequence) the first two chords from Chopin's 20th Prelude in C minor *cool to check out*. This began the first of many beautiful collaborations together.

One of the cool early vocal tricks I came up with on this song you can do yourself and compare to the original recording. I did on this track it making a reverb throw where pre-reverb I pitched the vocal up a fifth. You can try this yourself in any DAW by making a bus with a pitch shifter set to +7 (fully wet) and a long hall reverb (try about 8-10sec) also fully wet. When we did this, it was suffice to say MUCH harder (involving piles of patch cables and outboard gear). It's a super cool effect.

The Story Behind the TAILORS,

The Tailors is a producing and performing DJ duo
based in The Hague, the Netherlands.
There style is described as funky tech-house with a twist of soul.

Bastiaan & Jesse met during high school at age 15. They discovered that they both shared a passion for music and creating it. The love for different styles of music helped them find their own. 

Bastiaan was born on the 12th of July in 1989. At the age of 13 his parents bought him “Magix Music Maker” and this is when he started making songs with loops and samples. During this period he learned playing the drums and started experimenting with DJ-ing and producing. 
After finishing high school he went to the SAE in Amsterdam where he finished the Music Production Course. 

Jesse was born on the 17th of May in 1990. Jesse has always been interested in music, especially since his parents both were DJ’s in their younger years. At young age he learned mixing and had great interest in latin influenced music because of his Surinam roots.

Their fame started with funky remixes of classics from artists such as
Tracy Chapman, George Benson, The Whispers and many more.
They created their own style, which is deep, uplifting and funky.
The Tailors daily produce new original tracks for the world to enjoy.
They have performed in Paris, Cannes, Ibiza, Madrid, Monaco, India, Sao Paulo and many more places all over the world.
