This Man-Made Cave EP is the first official release by Dutch singer-songwriter duo The Torrents of Spring.
The track Election Day previously appeared on Unplugged Leiden Mixtape released by Smikkelbaard. The EP version has been remastered. All songs were written by Eelco except for Smile which is written and sung by Matthijs.

The Torrents of Spring started off as an singer-songwriter duo (guitar & percussion) and released their debut "Man-Made Cave EP" in 2014. It contains seven original acoustic songs. Their song Election Day had previously been released on the "Unplugged Leiden Mixtape" released by Smikkelbaard. In 2017 they performed an alternative soundtrack to the silent black & white movie The Call of Cthulhu. This 'Cthulhu Suite' used the previously unreleased song Wier Lights as a leitmotiv but also included teases to other TTOS songs. They have added a bass player to their lineupare currently working at new material and adapting some of their old acoustic songs to an electric set and , allowing them to take their Cosmic Blues into new realms.  To showcase this electric trio sound they will release Wier Lights as a single on Friday the 13th of May 2022. The percussive spoken word track Not The Nine O'Clock News will appear as its B-side. Another single release is planned for later this year.
