A long-time staple of the NYC underground scene, Olive T makes her debut on local label Sorry Records. Marking her sophomore release, ‘Birdin In Space’ will be released tomorrow and features remixes from Montreal’s beloved Martyn Bootyspoon and Vancouver’s acid techno queen Overland. Ahead of its release, you can stream the aptly titled ‘Shimmer or Glimmer’, an ethereal record with two moods as the blissed-out shimmering synths in the early part of the track warp into a moody, ominous kick drum before returning to hope again. A full circle record. 

Olive T has previously released on or contributed to outlets such as Allergy Season, Physically Sick, Magic City, Trax Only, Fatherhood mix compilation for Nervous Records and more. She’s a long time resident of Brooklyn’s The Lot Radio, resident at NYC institution Nowadays and an early Discwoman affiliate.

Here at Allergy Season we like to think our fates are tied to the forces of nature, whether the rain will wash away the pollen or feed a new bloom that causes us to double up on our eye drops for the day. Lady Blacktronika is nothing if not a force of nature. On countless releases over the last decade she has continually broken and rebuilt the house music wheel, crafting tracks with a completely unique perspective, and a devastating effect on the dance floor. There is a difference between reference and reverence-- Lady Blacktronika always goes heavy on the former, and never bows to the latter. 

Across "Rave Rinse Repeat" Lady Blacktronika dissects classic samples and stitches together 4 essential tools. In "Feel So Good" the cavernous sounds of rave are whittled down to just their organic elements and paired with a stomping house beat. In "Je Te Adore (Shut That Door)" a funk bass line climbs and descends the stairs endlessly, while a whispered voice coo's in our ear. Through out the EP breakbeats, tambourines, hand drums and vocals echo and filter in a psychedelic swirl. 

Allergy Season head Physical Therapy hands in big room ready remix of "Feel So Good" under his DJ Overnite alias. Putting rave samples through the meat grinder and ending up with a buzzing acid drenched techno take.

A hand stamped, limited vinyl pressing which demonstrates the artist’s ability to create intricate, subtle music that intrigues whilst still moving dance floors.

Over just a couple of releases Kristjan Kroupa has developed a sound which is both singular and versatile, taking in elements on house, techno and minimal without ever really being any one alone. Initiation Rituals sees him take his deepest exploration into the deep, dark, club music which he is becoming recognised for.

A record of detailed, percussive sounds, the release sees Alleged Witches present a package of sounds which is clearly inspired by his fascination with the occult, the strange and the sinister as his name might suggest.
