The anarchy of things beyond our control whipping out of your tiny little world and into the swinging inferno that is the reality around you. Whether you dug your heels in the sand or you welcomed the waves with your arms outstretched the storm is coming to bring certain doom to whatever monotony you dwelled within. 
Let’s not be selfish though. Not all change is some dramatic affair. The old homeless scrub down the way asks for change. You can give him that change. It would mean little to you but possibly everything to them. What kind of change does change bring? In most cases a case…or a six pack but most likely a forty. An escape of reality for the less fortunate. I can’t think of a better use of pocket change. Our overlords would have you give them coin at gunpoint in order to enact the status quo. The fear of change. The antithesis of evolution. Why are we so ramshackle to our perilous fates. The greed of ancient hands work to kill change. Sometimes they fail, but for something as fickle and chaotic as the wills of man, the track record for the powers that be are immaculate all considered. The trains have incentive to run on time, the ships have initiative to come to port and your waitress will most always try and serve you in a mostly effective manner, at least she would if she knows what’s good for her.
Why though? Surely there must be a reason we toil and break ourselves over the barrel time and time again until the day we die. We as a species have always longed for more. It makes the truth all more Tragic. Bad apples spoil the bunch. These animals don’t want change. They must obey the laws of all sentient life on this dirt ball flying through the void. The hunger. The need to consume, to eat, to fuck, to shit, to kill rinse and ad nuaseum till the universe collapses upon itself. We are our worst enemy and I don’t think that’s destined to change. Try asking me later, I might change my mind.

Change

Reflecting on the aspect of Eternity while sitting in it is something that feels almost impossible. We return to a common theme in this work; the disembodied aspect of time. The past, was once the present as well as the future. I've heard that they have confirmed that time is fluid, something I've suspected for years. It's been said that ghosts are memories that refuse to leave the astral plane. Does this mean that part of us never die? Does it imply that the thing we do the most is the thing that we will do forever? If ask me that sounds an awful lot like purgatory.  
	I think that all if us at one point has yearned to return to a particular point in time. Maybe to a simpler time when everything made sense, maybe to a moment when you were drowning within intimate love, or perhaps it was a epoch of carnal delights. How would it feel to keep that leagth of time like a leagth of film and run it on repeat. Would it diminish its quality? Would you eventually become bored with bliss? Can heaven have no meaning if there is no hell?
Just as the ghosts of memory live the same acts over and over again, the infinite replay of heaven will also turn into a self assured purgatory. Could that purgatory eventually turn to hell? 
The monotony that drives man insane is the same monotony that feeds the earth as well as the universe around it. The snow melts and the seasons pass to spring and later summer, fall and winter again. The earth passes around the sun as long as it is able. The sun whips around the galaxy and the galaxy spins itself around in the same way its known for millennia.
Even something so horrendously gargantuan must tire of endless monotony. I've heard that the Milky Way is crashing into the Adromena. I wonder if there is a sense of relief as change slowly slithers it's way into the black darkened landscape? Can a galaxy become a ghost? Can a ghost become redeemed? Can redemption only be bestowed upon the condemned? Is it all just one endless loop? Will this happen again?

The idea when starting this was to entertain ideas and themes that were more than human. Though as time went by, I found it almost impossible to do so. This was definitely the song I realized this. Balance is a human related phenomena because it is subjective. As I state in the third verse, "never really asking for the point that Mark's the middle". Is this entry i am making for song commentary descriptive enough? Is it too descriptive? Am I talking about the subject enough or too much about the song? Do the results of either effect the balance over all? All answers are both subjective and valid, depending on who you ask.
	The extremes of lows and highs over all measurements are evident and infinite in quality. As humans we've made the mark of zero degrees, we've decided how long a second is, and what qualifies as a pound. These are all measurements of man, not of gods. Some things are immeasurable. We say that we know how fast a beam of light can travel but have never traveled upon one. We can recall moments of our very own past but are powerless to return there. Zero doesnt exist. The folly of man is in our need for order, but order is an illusion. It's all subjective to human kind. Now, tidy yourselves up, the tardagrades will be here any second, if they're not already.

Balance

What is the closest you have ever come to catastrophe? How did those moments of anticipation before the bomb dropped hurt worse than the explosion? The knives edge of absolute panic cutting the wound as you attempt to sew it shut with the piercing needle of hope. In these sort of moment you are in a warzone. Your senses are in prime condition, for only the strong will survive in the face of catastrophe.
	Adrenalin fills you with strength and you feel as though you could lift mountains. If it wasnt for hope; the kind of hope that things could somehow be different, that somehow you could make the tiniest contribution in the tipping of the scales in a time when seconds matter, and miraculously avoid catastrophic consequences.
What happens after the moment of impact? There is only two outcomes to this sort of situation and this is clearly a song about the unfavorable outcome. When the asteroid makes impact and there is no turning back from the fallout of the crash, you will live with that day of reckoning for all time. Your memories and part of your very soul longing for the ever embrace of Valhalla, but a warriors death must be taken in battle and not in the wake of its aftermath.
You will live with the scars and hope that next time it will be different because after all, it has to be.

Im going to force you to think about this differently. Im going to force you to think about the word and what it means. What its forced to mean. The very state of kinetic energy. By some act of God up high or by a butterfly off the coast of Maine, this Force is being brought to you. Weather it's a hurricane or head on traffic you pale in comparison to the might of terrible forces rendering you into silly puddy. They say black holes force you into spaghetti.
	The two biggest forces that threaten individual existence since before the dawn of man has been the force of man and the force of God(nature). Both are equally matched in terms of decimation. Another may beat or torture you giving you the same amount of damage as a tumble through a twister. 
	As we sharpen our spears and ready to ourselves to kill one another the world beneath our feet can decide to blow a gasket anytime. Releasing an earthquake or a volcano on the land. In some cases the cloud left over from the ash will create a famine so vast as comparable to what could be imagined of the result of nuclear fallout. I'm short; We can blow ourselves up anytime but the sun will do that itself one day.
These forces beyond our imagination as terrible as they are, can be as sensitive as us walking meat bags. Remember, it was splitting an atom that made the bomb.

What do you want? What do you want more than anything in this entire world. That thing, weather it be man, woman animal, mineral, vegetable; you will find that joy is fleeting. What you just wanted, what you just desired and coveted will soon come to be unappreciated. No longer the apple of your eye, you will seek other treasures, other women, other distant lands to lie under your fist. Desire isn't just lust, but also greed, sloth, wrath, etc. All seven of the signs are just forms of desire. From fight to fuck to kill, us humans are damn good of making our wants and needs complicity known.
	The realm of man has needs but what of the realms of gods or that of a meager stray atom sitting on the head if a pin? They all still have one desire. The desire to exist; arguably the most important desire something could ever have. Fictional people in fictional places cant do real things. They're wants and needs are meaningless, save that they to all desperately want to exist. Instead in a sense our grand works of art becomes some weird scratches on a rock in the woods. Desperately trying to be ad real as the rock its scrawled upon. Meaningless to something that's real and walks among us. Beasts with desires we couldn't fathom.
	The desire of creation and destruction are the biggest clash of interests in recent memory. The law of conquest is most always the victor, though only at first. Over time more are born and less is fought and all is well until the shit hits the fan and it happens again and again.
	It's only when it's all over and there's no going back do we wonder why we even wanted it in the first place. The thought of your pretty penny now somehow repulses you and you are ashamed. That's not unheard of though, this is the human race were talking about here. Go want something and talk to me in the morning. Those wants will create more wants as it destroys other wants in a desperate beauty pageant for your wondering eye. Helplessly consuming all in your never ending quest for unattainable everlasting bliss.
	So I hear you say, "Karcass Krackanova, my liege, there must be something i can do to escape this cycle!" Well yes...and no. Y'see, wants can be minimized and almost virtually eradicated, but needs? Need's are a required desire. You desire to breathe without a second thought as much as you also desire to be a human being. At the molecular level, our cells and atomic makeup constantly need to follow rules predetermined by our existence. These desires rule they're entire world, we are no different in our own hearts and souls.
I wish it was different sometimes, but time can not stand still. Every second desiring to consume the next as its immediately consumed by the one before it, it's just the natural order of things; the way it's apparently always been and apparently ever will be.
Accept the order of the universe or be swept away in the carnage and the next time you see that thing you want so bad you just cant stand it, remember what I've said to you. Do you want it? Do you need it? Are you thirsty or are you flush as a lush?
	I want to know if you are happy. I want you to know it won't last forever. I need you to know that when things get bad or even horrific that you will live to fight another day.

What's the worse thing a loved ones ever done? Once the apple of thy eye becomes a cockroach crushing beneath they're heel. The way that one feels when one is stabbed in the back is a feeling we never forget. It is a dark memory hid away in the furthest corners of ones head. We tuck it away on a pillow in the deepest pits of the mind and hope that we never stumble upon it again. If only that ever really worked.
How does one forgive such a blasphemy? Is it even ever truly possible? What's done is done and cannot be undone. You cant put Pandora back in the box. Every time you see this persons face you'll be reminded of that foul act and be to a point, banishing yourself to that dark deep pit in your head, the one you said you'd never go to. I for one can't live that way.
A true betrayal is as evident as it is devastating. I have to wonder if I've ever caused such a misery. Nothing comes to mind, though I'm sure I have hurt people on accident. Is that any better? I would think a true betrayal would have to be done on purpose. Part of what makes a stab in the back as bad as it is, is the break of trust. The slashing of loyalty to ribbons breaking your heart for the world to see.
No, I do not think forgiveness would be appropriate.

What is the spider to the fly? The fly to the sugar? Honey to vinegar? Vinegar to wine? Perspective is everything in understanding and that understanding is impossible. We can never hope to know what it means to be your killers knife. That sinister passion of the eye of Caine is a delicacy only saved for him. You're suffering is a horror reserved only for yourself. They will tell you that your not alone, but they're wrong. Everyone's hell is specifically  tailored and fitted to their own soul.
We are unable to put ourselves in another's shoe, for if the shoe fits we wear it; if not we discard it. We are told to live in the moment but that moment is often the thorn rather than the rose. Often this moment is harsh and unforgiving. Our perspective skews and we cant trust our our eyes. If we arent who we think we are then who are we? Do we have no hope of redemption? Is there no way out of this place other than oblivion?
I would like to say I understand but I know I never could. The swallow cant see further than it's own crooked beak. Maybe this is for the best, there is beauty in our pain. A deep romanticism that can't be taken away. Acceptance is the only way out of the void.
So when you see a monster reveling in the despair of others, know that they look into a mirror; despising the wretchedness of their own forgotten turmoil. We are no different and yet we are completely the same.

Perspective

I started this song after my brother told me he liked the opening riff. He would never live long enough to hear it. Your always asking yourself hypotheticals after a suicide; I shoulda said this, I could a done that, If I would of only known. You hypothetical yourself until your head spins. Did you ever really know him? Do you even know yourself?
Your whole life is a "what if" scenario, down to the details of your birth and the circumstances of your death.
I've found this bastardized philosophy to have only three possible solutions. You can live through your yesterday, you can suffer for the future, or you can bask in the moment. Different opportunities require different eyes and you cant always get what you want. I would personally subscribe to the present, Its the most exciting, but sometimes I find myself reading an old issue and other times I cant wait for the next. Someday when the last issue is released I hope I am able to cut the collection to pieces and make a collage. Hoping that this "life magazine" becomes a beautiful thing of triumph instead of  a moldy stack of regret on Ebay.
I still wish he could of seen it that way though.
