The Velvet Wesleys are a band of jangly youth-musicians who play young jangly music, they vary wildly in height, gender, and alcohol tolerance. Since 2010 they have bravely straddled the line between awkward indie-boppers, and mighty musical avatars of a disenfranchised nation. They comprise of Barney Riggs, rhythm guitarist, and owner of the nicest jumpers, Tim Kazer, lead guitarist/backing vocals, and part-time pirate (Also part-time guitar teacher), Elspeth Rudd, bassist, and therefore the funkiest member, James Sipthorpe, drummer, and Spandau Ballet advocate, and Ross Brownell lead vocals, and King of The Dance. Between them these 5 have recorded two EPs so underground that Ross' Mum hasn't even heard them, and played more gigs than James can remember (Though this may be because of his drinking habits).
