Original demo of Chris-penned song. Never got round to recording it properly, and it marked a bit of an advance for us with less synths and technical wizardry.

Simple guitar, organ, bass, drums. And singing.

Daz mainly pressed stop and start on the computer. 

Dan spent days getting the right milliseconds setting on his delay pedal....

Dirty Old Mind

One of the faves. Came about when Chris and Dave had a techno jam in the studio.

Simple two note bass loop and some esoteric bleeps and bangs, and ten minutes later, lo and behold, Amber was born.

Dropped later on in live sets, as too difficult to merge techno with real drummer. One disastrous attempt saw to that!!!

Kim, Western Skies, Zoloft  - whatever you know it by, this is our song.

Years later we found it plastered across the internet shrouded in mystery.

No mystery - this was an ode to our Kraft dinner eating Canadian friend who left the UK to go home. 

Very simple song, and hopefully will re-record one day to get rid of the awful guitar sound that was recorded at home.

Chris' baby, and general favourite amongst live audiences and ourselves, if the truth be known.

Lounge-y feel wasn't intended, and live it generally rocked a bit more. Also has different structure now.

This was very rough, though! all those theremin-y bits and the rhodes weren't meant to stay...

Mother Abigail

A slower version of a live favourite. 

We could never decide whether to rock it up or blues it down. If we ever record it again, we'll still probably argue about it.

Primary Chris on this, with Dave and Dan supplying pleasant lyrics to replace the decidedly evil ones Chris presented us with....

Dave-penned slow song.
One of two written during one Sunday evening when he'd drunk too much and was watching a nature documentary about hippos with his guitar. Not hippos WITH HIS guitar, but he had his guitar whilst watching it...
Generally the final song of the set with lots and lots of feedback, delay and general racket...


The Enigma Star

Formed in 2001, recorded demos for intended first album during 2002, gigged from 2002-2003, gaining a cult following and positive reviews, disbanded in November 2003.

On and off for years, but now due to record an EP and further new material.
