Outer Limits of Inner Space is comprised of two pieces of music ... 'Questioning Consciousness', and then 'Peace Out'.  Music by me, and the spoken word taken from an old ABC radio interview series called Beyond the Mechanical Mind Consciousness and Reality.  I was inspired to compose this piece after (and whilst) listening to the series.
Thank you to all those on the path .. illuminaries, visionaries, spiritual adventurers both past, present and future.  May we again be ONE!

Peering Through the Veil

...time ceases to be perceived as linear...you can feel the heartbeat of Gaia and hear the echos of those who walked here long before us,  Lake Ballard and Antony Gormley's installation allow us to be deeply immersed in landscape as old as time.  The power of art to engage us and draw us in to deeper understanding is expressed in this perfect synthesis of sculpture and natural environment.

I asked my long term friend and musician, Rob Garnett (Joy Evelation) to have a listen to one of my recent tracks and, if he felt inspired, to add some of his magic to it.  This is the result. The beautiful gentle way of Balinese Hindu culture ... always a heart centred approach to life in which respect plays a central role.  Daily ritual balanced with the need to provide for the extended family.  
The ornate entrances to family compounds provides an intriguing glimpse in to a sacred space in which nothing is left to chance.  Careful ordering of the spaces within maintains balance for all.  Honour is given to spiritual, material, and elemental aspects. To enter this space is to enter another world, completely separate from the seemingly chaotic street scene ... you journey from apparent disorder to a serene space in which quiet contemplation and reflection is almost unavoidable.  This internal 'quiet' is then carried with you as you re-enter the outside space once again and join with the communal flow of Bali life.

The quest to understand reality and the inner workings of life cuts across time and cultures. The relatively recent western separation of science and spirituality has led to a dualist myopic world view. This has ironically served to allow us to understand how ultimately interconnected they are and how necessary it is that they must now come together. Then we may once again have a deeper multidimensional view of our reality, and hopefully a greater respect for the miracle of life.  
This piece explores contrasting paradigms that are essentially trying to describe the same 'hidden force' that weaves the fabric of our existence. The invisible, inaudible, and intangible essence that is LIFE :)

a natural progression from classical pipe organ to epic ambient electronica!? ... via a few rock bands on the way!
Have been writing and arranging on keys since an early age, did the original rock band thing in late teens which gained me considerable stage experience with our own shows as well as numerous supports for touring acts ... then withdrew to study classical pipe organ for a few years before re-emerging to join up with a song writing duo to spend 8 years studio based.
Restless for creative freedom, The Vox Aeterna was established as a vehicle to explore the non-traditional aspects of sound sculpture and composition ... the vision is to transport the listener, to challenge. Ultimately, The Vox Aeterna will combine with visuals to present an immersive audio/visual experience.
