Matt Walsh’s Clouded Vision Recordings starts the year as it left off with another pair of peak time, slowed-down, twisted techno treats from Parisian producer, Demian.  Remixes come from MEANT label owner, Remain, Philadelphia’s Pink Skull and the up and coming Spanish trio, Gameboyz.

With Love & Voodoo has already seen the light through Daniel Avery’s recent 6 Mix and Resident Advisor podcast as well as being a huge favorite with Hot Flush label honcho, Scuba.  It is a dark and effective late night track, full of emotion and flair. Spiraculum is a slower, deeper number, perfect to start a set off with a great intro and build into a crescendo. 

With forthcoming releases from Magic Feet and Bird Scarer favorite, “Dark Stands”, Best Kept Secret’s “Few Nolder” and more from the brilliant Dimitri Veimar, plus a second “Clouded Vision Experiment” compilation in the pipeline, the label looks set for a busy year ahead.

Beatlove is an electronic and experimental music duo, formed in 2009 by producer Benjamín Jiménez and singer Myriam Fernández. Their music like their name means an explosion of love and music. Since they started, they have shared several releases through net labels, obtaining good critics in the internet by specialized sites.

Rubinskee is without doubt, one of the mexican artists who are best coming into the European market and proof of that are his latest productions for labels such as Liebe Detail. 

For the second reference of Melomana, Rubinskee brings us "It Is Not The True", an original track that moves around disco with synths and catchy vocals. 

Three remixes for this track. The first one by Zombies In Miami (Kompakt, Correspondant, Gazeebo International) with a deeper interpretation that immerses you into a long travel. 
Tronik Youth considerably decreases the bpm on his version, taking it to a thicker discoid sound. 
And finally, Future Feelings presents a remix more similar to the original but with a more house sound.

Tkuz - Bailemos Con El Diablo (Preview) DIGITAL EXCLUSIVE

There is no stopping the Canadian powerhouse that is My Favorite Robot in 2014, and here they serve up the goods once more in the form of a fantastic new EP from Remain who returns to the label for his second outing. Remixes come from Clickbox and Carreno is LB & Javi Redondo and bolster an already great package. Frenchman Remain is the co founder of Meant Records and has also released his idiosyncratic electronic wares on labels like Throne of Blood, Ideal Audio and My Favorite Robot Records. His ultramodern vision of house music and beyond has made him an international favourite as well as a staple on the French scene at clubs like Rex, Zig Zag and Showcase. Opening up this sterling EP is ‘Bounty Hunting’; a stripped back cut with stern no frills drums, stark synth melodies and plenty of abstract minimal lines. Dark, foreboding and barely decipherable vocals add to the apocalyptic vibe and make for truly tense and involved listening. Then ‘Bounty Hunting’ gets remade by Carreno is LB & Javi Redondo into a whirring, malfunctioning affair that sounds like a robot disco in the sky. Remain then turns in ‘Filthy Stitches’ ft Monoblok, a sinewy, metallic affair with tight synth lines stretched over rubbery drums. Said synths swerve and twist about for the duration, with intergalactic melodies and robo vocals eventually bleeding in, but it’s a firmly taught and tense vibe from start to finish. The remix is by Brazilian duo and Items & Things associates Click Box, who transform the original into a loose, writhing cut of synthetic house with plenty of alien details and gurgling synth lines. This is evocatively futuristic music with plenty of inventive textures and tones all working together to make for a fascinating listen that also makes you move.

MFR103 Remain - Bounty Hunting (Carreno is LB & Javi Redondo Remix)

Melomana Records releases a new EP by Statickman from Chile called 'Electric Force', which includes two original tracks 'Electric Force' and 'Flash Night', both midway between slow techno and an electro disco tinged with thick basslines, arpeggios, epic melodies, vocoders and very acid musical arrangements. 

The EP includes various remixes, among which are the two versions of ‘Electric Force’ of Club Bizarre (in Days Being Wild - France). 'Electrified Version' is a more open and designed for the dancefloor track, and 'Electro Remix cuted' is a slower remix where the elements are developed with more dub style. 

To complete this EP, the remix of Kezokichi (Throne of Blood - Japan), where this wonderful producer remixes 'Flash Night', with a cut in the purest French style, very serious and forceful.
