The second single of the damsel saving, time traveling duo, The Jones Noir. This tune is about the 24 pieces of trouble that were after Ms. Monroe, luckily Jones and Noir were there to fend of 23 of them, while the lady in white took care of the 24th herself...

The Jones Noir: When We Saved Marilyn (Original Song)

I wrote this song from the perspective of Kay Lawrence, the only woman to have survived a trip to the Black Lagoon. 
A little back story: "Creature from the Black Lagoon" has been one of my all-time favorite films since I was a kid. I got to thinking, since the character of Kay, portrayed by the late Julie Adams, isn't in the two sequels, "Revenge of the Creature" & "The Creature Walks Among Us", how would she be feeling seeing all this from a distance? What if she was never far during pivotal moments of the Gill-Man's journey? I wanted to capture the emotions of the "after".

The journey of the song itself eventually lead to a conclusion I didn't anticipate, but very much think was necessary for the character. It also served as an homage to Julie Adams, herself, who sadly passed earlier this year. The thumbnail for this song is a picture of the incredible moment I was able to meet her a few years ago.

A couple heads to a middle-of-nowhere drive-in where not all is what it seems... before they know it, they're transported to 1955, and the ghosts of that era are still on the clock!

Song Notes: A couple of reasons prompted this year's Halloween tune. 1. The Drive-In excellently came back in a big way this year. And 2. I also became a real big fan of drive-in expert and legendary horror host, Joe Bob Briggs, this year - and even play a little tribute to his classic line, "The Drive-In will never die!" I wanted something fun, fast and had some '50s flair to it. Hope you enjoy your trip to... The Haunted Drive-In!
