I put together this compilation of morning music from the ’80s and ’90s in 2008. We’ve been listening to it a lot the past two summers on Fire Island, poolside, and dancing. After a small gathering at the house after I played the Pavilion Sunday night during Pines Party Weekend, I was inspired to finally put it out for all to enjoy.

Chus & Ceballos-The Sun (Morabito's Shines On TV Rework)
New Rework: A Vocal Addition. 

The Sun" by Chus & Ceballos features a brief sample from a-ha's "The Sun Always Shines on T.V." I've always been fond of the original dance version, which gained popularity in 1985. With much respect to Chus & Ceballos, I felt that incorporating more vocals from "The Sun Always Shines on T.V." into "The Sun" could blend the two versions, giving the original a refreshed beat akin to what Chus & Ceballos offer.

I infused a fair amount of a-ha's vocals into "The Sun," dubbing it "Morabito's Shines on TV Rework." It's a simple addition, nothing too elaborate, but I appreciate the effect and believe it strengthens the connection to a-ha's rendition.

Deep, warm and engulfing, the “There Was A Time” is introduced by a happy spoken intro to then build in an ebb and flow of filters and dub effects coalescing at the 4 minute mark with a buried phased vocal and a filtered swirl of keys, ready to build up and reopen itself up for pure heightened emotion.
