Comprised of cellist Annie Jacobs-Perkins and classical guitarist David Steinhardt, the Woodstock Duo is an eclectic ensemble devoted to showcasing the importance of friendship in music-making. Annie and David grew up as neighbors in Rochester, NY and have been the very best of friends since age two. Both players are now students and merit scholars at the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music. The duo performs in all venues- from news casts and radio shows to impromptu back yard barbecues and in hospitals. In 2013 the Woodstock Duo took first place in all age divisions of the Virtuosi Chamber Music Competition. In 2014 both Annie and David were selected to play as soloists on "From the Top," and most recently the Woodstock Duo won Thornton's prestigious Gluck Fellowship.
