Which came first: the chicken or the egg? 
     The same question could be asked of the Write Brothers. Two artists deeply rooted in music, brought together during a rap battle, and a prize of free studio time. What started as a free session for Learic to record his own music turned into Dante Davinci and him committing to a new project together. As the project progressed and they recorded more and more songs, the idea of doing an album came up.
      
       It wasn't until Dante was driving one day to the studio and saw an out of state license plate did the concept come to light. North Carolina "First in Flight". One automatically thinks of the Wright Brothers with the worlds first successful flights of a powered heavier than-air flying machine. Dante had already played a new beat he had made entitled 'Moon Boots' for Learic during a previous session. 
      The ideas of flight, space and the imagination were already apparent in the music they were creating so it seemed fitting for the Write Brothers to be born out of this. 
         The two worked very hard during every session to sculpt each word, arrangement and inflection to color the canvas with music that pulled you in to their world. Each song stands strong on their own but listening to the project from start to finish you see life experiences within each song as if turning a page.

      Called the "Coen brothers of rap", the Write Brothers dwell above the clouds. The ideas of flight, space and the imagination are imbedded in the music the Write Brothers create. Leaning heavy on metaphors and witty wordplay, the duo venture far from the landing site, with a Write brothers flag in hand. 
      Their debut album entitled “Take Flight” finds Dante primarily behind the curtain creating the beats, as Learic would say are, “Monstrous and haunting”. Studio sessions are spent sculpting each word, arrangement and inflection to color the canvas with songs that are meant to pull you into their world.

      Music is meant to be as much as a release from the day-to-day grind as it is also a vessel to express change, life’s challenges and ignite emotion. With that being said, “Take Flight” balances the thought provoking approach to music with the need to nod your head and escape.
