SDK launched onto the scene earlier this year with the release of their first project - What They Want. Armen Miran is a vital pillar of the deep & melodic scene. With his distinct blend of organic folk tones atop powerful electronica, he’s the godfather of Armenian deep house. Through releases on his own imprint Hoomidas, he’s inspired so many modern producers. We enamoured to welcome him to XYZ, as he whisks What They Want in classic style. Playful house drums get us moving, while ominous synthetics envelop the groove. The vocal chops ebb too and fro throughout the arrangement, with big dancefloor moment’s a-plenty within this Armen masterclass.

Argentina’s invigorating pairing of Nacho Varela & Cruz Vittor has proven illustrious in recent times. They’ve been producing some of the most vivacious & sought-after remixes and edits on the planet, alongside original material on Anjunadeep and Shanti Moscow Radio. The duo comes through again as they twist What They Want to fit their scintillating sound. Swirling melodics stir us into the groove, as a punchy bassline ignites the vibe. Vivrant's first release of 2022 brings an enthralling collaboration with Seoul-based South Korean label CRAFT AND JUN. The project pairs Vivrant’s core family of acts consisting of label boss Jeremy Olander, Marino Canal, MOLØ, Viggo Dyst and Khen with CRAFT AND JUN’s ditto. With the Swedish label’s trademark atmospheric and melancholic ID at its core, the project creates a genre-blending body of work that ranges from melodic techno, organic house, emotionally-laden electronica to breaks. 

In its relentless pursuit to pave its own way in the world of modern electronic dance music, Stockholm-based Vivrant initiated the project alongside CRAFT AND JUN founder Jun Beck in an attempt to build a creative and cultural bridge between west and east, and expose their respective core artists to new new sources of inspiration with the purpose of aiding them in developing their artistry. 

Fifth and last out the gates with a Spotify exclusive release on April 1st is Israeli organic house maven Khen with a remix of george, Cosmic Boy and pH-1’s ‘water. First released in 2020 on the two artist’s collaborative five-track EP ‘Love in summer’, the original is an endearing, blissful and funky summer scorcher. As one the best-selling organic house producers on Beatport with a discography spanning labels such as Sébastien Léger’s Lost Miracle, Guy J’s Lost & Found, Above & Beyond’s Anjunadeep and John Digweed’s Bedrock, Khen’s remix will take punters worldwide on groovy sonic journey from Seoul to Tel Aviv.

As the spring soars into supreme summer, we’re thrilled to welcome Eduardo McGregor back to TOR for his second EP on the imprint. The Mexican maestro has graced the likes of All Day I Dream, Sudbeat, TRYBESof, Tale & Tone and Kindisch, showcasing a knack for global grooves, percussive rhythms, and rich melodies. He’s a unique talent within dance music - a multi instrumentalist, composer, and educator. McGregor’s true musicianship brings distinct quality to his productions, as we witnessed via his ‘I Fall EP’ which debuted on TOR last year. Continuing explorations into original organic territories, McGregor floats even higher with the Tal Vez Soñar.

Montrealer Mitch Oliver returns to Kindisch with a pair of hypnotic house rollers.

Mitch Oliver is at the heart of the ever-evolving melodic movement. The rising star is a DJ, producer and sound engineer respected for his blend of emotive grooves on the likes of Akbal Music, Seven Villas, When We Dip XYZ and Hoomidaas Records. He has previously released two singles on this label and now returns with his first full EP for the Berlin imprint. His deft touch in the studio and finely curated DJ sets have taken him across Canada, the US, and the Caribbean with performances at renowned events such as AIM Festival, Burning Man and SXM Festival. At home in Montreal, he runs his own Aurora events as a residency at Velvet and he was part of Guy Laliberté’s PY1 Nights.

Mitch opens up with vocalist MYRE for 'Alpine', a richly detailed track with subtle acoustic guitar licks and buttery smooth vocals. The spacious, patient groove builds with deft percussive details that heighten the alluring atmosphere of this classy late night gem.

Second track 'Mylus' is a collaboration with musician Nic Falardeau. It is another brilliantly organic track with seductive wood-block hits over frictionless deep house drums. Serene string sounds, yawning chords and soft shakers all pepper the perfect groove as you slowly but surely fall under its majestic and romantic spell.

These are two tender house tracks stuffed with heartfelt warmth.
