Goodbye London

From the old place where these songs were written at 1742 happy trail in topanga california, there is a misty eyed view, a way of looking at the experience from this far away and yet still in this song , I can feel the sad that I felt as it was getting time to move on from that hallowed space. lots of creating happened, some destruction happened there. ( I don't mean like breaking things up into splintered piles, but more like a few break ups happened there).
   The land lady was crazy beyond words, the house looked great in pictures and yet was condemned for structural issues, pete the neighbor crashed his car in a drunken rage and came knocking on the door looking for refuge from the coppers, ,the trash man loved me because I used to set out a six pack of beers at x-mas, the dogs and horse now still run around in this old song about back then.

Leaving Day

Oh boy, how much do I say of a recording about a day after the worst day of my life. My very good friend brought me into the studio, put the classical guitar into my hands and off I played. Maybe this is how all of my music should be sounding, this may be the best I have ever sounded. (thank you Steve Sutphen and your studio) Wounded, Reeling, Broken, and no one else to blame. 
   If in one listen you can't tell what the song is about, that is not my fault. this may be the template that I some day place all of my songs into. A love song for my ages.
