Ólafur Arnalds & Arnór Dan | "So Far" (Slo-Mo Remix)

An unlikely, yet surprisingly compatible combination of Dua Lipa's "New Rules", and sampled interpolations of Hans Zimmer's score for "Interstellar".
What began as an experiment just to see what it would sound like if I slowed down and reversed Lipa's original track, turned into this peculiar, unwieldy beast that required a full-blown extra layer of production - i.e. several tracks of new beats, basslines, percussion, piano, and the direct Zimmer samples.
All in all, it wound up having a Imogen Heap/Blanck Mass kind of sound to it.
So, with all that said, I hope you enjoy this weird little thing.

This is the second of the two remixes I did a couple of years ago, of songs available on the NIN Remix site.
As opposed to that other NIN remix, I'm a lot more happy with how this one turned out. That's not to say it's perfect, because it's far from it, but it is a step up from the remix that I did before it, so I hope you enjoy...
