While his sound may have changed over the years, FreeFall’s hustle hasn’t. His work with one of the leading underground house labels, Audiophile XXL, has led him to become one of its most prolific and heavily supported producers. His Discovery Project release pays homage to the roots of dance music. Aptly titled “House Music,” it sees him grabbing a slice of the familiar Chuck Roberts vocal and surrounding it with layers of dark, sweltering energy. The jackin’, chunky beats are deftly balanced with a filthy low-end that illustrates FreeFall’s feats as a bassline technician—and the sexy underlying tone of darkness puts you right against the speakers in a dimly lit room.

We are happy to welcome legendary Russian DJ/producer Proxy joins the Night Bass team with his Sirenade EP - 3 tracks that usher in a new direction for the prolific artist. The title track is a full on peak time banger suited for the club as well as the biggest festival crowds. “I Feel” leans more towards a more classic Proxy sounding production, filled with dark sounds and dark vocal samples over a bed of heavy bass. The EP is rounded off by the banging bass of and catchy vocal chops of “Magic Word”, the first collaboration between Proxy and Night Bass chief AC Slater.
