The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Arude for his first appearance. As a fixture of the electronic underground for the better part of a decade, Ukrainian artist Arude is perhaps best known for his twenty-plus appearances on long-standing Berlin imprint Steyoyoke. It was this creative swell which set the stage for more recent projects via Beatfreak, Eklektisch, Radikon and Renaissance, all of which have been ideal landing spots for his elusive sound. An in-demand remixer for sometime, it was earlier this year that Arude took to re-interpreting ‘The Sound of Violence’ by French electro duo Cassius. Originally released in 2002 via Virgin Records and highlighted by vocals from Steve Edwards, the dancefloor anthem has the distinction of being the duo’s only track to reach #1 in the hugely influential Billboard Music Charts. We’re happy to offer his take on this timeless anthem as a free download. Enjoy.
