Today’s noise is calculated and specific. It is no more unacceptable, and it no more possesses an uncontrolled nature. It knows its target and has a unique expertise to tag on.  And going by the current media jinks, noise is now a perfect science. From clutter of bytes to bulletins, views to visuals, symbols to slogans, texts to tweets—the noise is thorough. The growling deluge is not just a happenstance. What media scientists call as Information Overload is in effect an avatar of noise!

Genetic analysis shows microbial interactions help fast-growing trees break down petrochemical pollutants in soil 

New genetic evidence suggests willow trees may tolerate pollution by providing sugars to symbiotic fungi surrounding their roots; the fungi, in turn, provide nutrients to hydrocarbon-degrading bacteria.

Trees, fungi and bacteria: tripartite meta-transcriptomics of a root microbiome responding to soil contamination.

Fast-growing trees, such as willows, are known to tolerate and even rejuvenate soil contaminated with petroleum by-products or heavy metals. The clean-up of soil in this way is known as phytoremediation, and the process is commonly attributed to “secondary metabolism” – the production of specialized compounds in plants that helps them cope with environmental stress.

Using advanced techniques for analyzing the simultaneous expression of genes from multiple organisms in an ecosystem, the scientists examined the roots of willows grown on a polluted site in suburban Montreal. They found that complex interactions among a range of ectomycorrhizal fungi -- which form symbiotic sheaths around the roots of plants -- and certain bacteria appeared to drive the degradation of hydrocarbons in the ground.

I. Original Story

The notion that the sky was a vast solid dome seems to have been common among the ancient peoples whose ideas of cosmology have come down to us.

Thus the Egyptians conceived the heavens to be an arched iron ceiling from which the stars were suspended by means of cables.

To the Babylonians the sky was an immense dome, forged out of the hardest metal by the hand of Merodach (Marduk) and resting on a wall surrounding the earth.

According to the notion prevalent among the Greeks and Romans, the sky was a great vault of crystal to which the fixed stars were attached, though by some it was held to be of iron or brass.

That the Hebrews entertained similar ideas appears from numerous biblical passages. In the first account of the creation (Genesis 1) we read that God created a firmament to divide the upper or celestial from the lower or terrestrial waters.

3 Definitions - 

Archetype - "According to Jungian approach of psychology, some highly developed elements of the collective unconscious are called 'archetypes'. Carl Jung developed an understanding of archetypes as universal, archaic patterns and images that derive from the collective unconscious and are the psychic counterpart of instinct. They are autonomous and hidden forms which are transformed once they enter consciousness and are given particular expression by individuals and their cultures. Being unconscious, the existence of archetypes can only be deduced indirectly by examining behavior, images, art, myths, religions, or dreams. They are inherited potentials which are actualized when they enter consciousness as images or manifest in behavior on interaction with the outside world." 

Sound Archetype (sound-infused archetype) generate audio and psychological support to archetypes, often enhancing the meaning and pleasure of the story or song. The current theory is that archetypes reside in the subconscious and couple with sound to become archetype sounds in the conscious. (W. Paul 2017) 

A Sound Myth is an audio-fueled story consisting of several elements of regenerative mythology, often explaining the origins of a cultural practice or natural phenomenon.
