AHKUR - CONCRETE JUNGLE EP (SHOWREEL)[DCEP006]

At Frozen Plates we absolutely love supporting up-and-coming producers, because there’s no better feeling than hearing the fresh sound of raw dubstep talent. On this outing we serve up two such finds! 
For the A side of FZP16, a talented boy from Hungary transports us straight to the original threshold of dubstep – one listen and it’s 2006 all over again. Töki demands your attention, and holds it. On “Joyous Spring,” dark vibes aplenty are encased in a proper wobble framework! 
On the B side of FZP16, Nizth delivers an ice-cold stomper – straight from Saint Petersburg, with love! Titled “Stutter,” you can imagine the level of destruction that ensues when it’s heard on the right rig!
Töki is always full of surprises. While things were being prepped for FZP16, he sent us a tune called “Old Verb.” This was our first exposure to this budding talent, and we’re happy to announce the track can be yours as a digital bonus when snagging your copy of FZP16.

As we move into our second EP release of the year we just liked to say a be thank you to everyone supporting the artists on the label during these stressful times due to the pandemic around the world. 

We’d like to reveal the sounds of L.A brothers Ahkur & Tetrad. The two brothers have come together and engineered a collaboration EP to destroy all live streams entitled ‘Moral Terror’ 

Both Dillon & Cheyne Bush are no newcomers to the scene, both landing releases of familiar labels such as Foundation Audio, Silent Motion, Gourmet Beats & ZamZam Sounds to name a few. Growing up together their influences bounced off one another, while gradually leaning towards their own signature styles of creativity. While Ahkur engaged in the Southern California underground rave scene, Tetrad grew up experimenting with punk, metalcore and ska bands, the brothers combined their influences together and took the first step into music production. 

When diving into the Moral Terror EP, it clearly shows which road each artist went down to path their own style. As Ahkur creates a combination of deep cinematic textures and experimental sound design, while Tetrad fabricates on heavy dubbed basslines intertwined with eery soundscapes.

The two brothers are fast becoming huge icons within the ever growing American dubstep scene.
