We're excited to share a beautiful set contributed by our dear Davian. This magical being stole our hearts many moons ago at The Monastery, and his return to the Babylon stage was a long-awaited reward.

Davian: "This set is my tribute to our friend Daniel Zuur, AKA Kraut. The storyline is inspired by his release on the Gardens of Babylon label: "Disfrutar", in spanish, means to appreciate, savor and enjoy. I trust Daniel felt all the love we sent him on that very special day!

I am truly thankful for this opportunity, for everyone who contributed to
this unforgettable event and, of course, all the dancers with whom we shared this amazing moment!"

DAVIAN - The Gardens of Babylon Festival 2023

Recorded live at Montreal's Front Republic Festival on September 8th, Davian was accompanied by Fotos on live guitar as they opened the day with a beautiful set. 

Their performance perfectly set the vibe for Fabian Krooss, Kora, and Reg Ina, who performed after. Davian and Fotos' sounds blended together in perfect harmony—their chemistry was undeniable. The energy they created flowed effortlessly into the performances that followed, setting the tone for an unforgettable day. Enjoy!

Dancefloor Romancer 119: Davian & Fotos (Live at Front Republic 2024)

This is a live recording of my set in the magical "FAIRY BOX" at Project Heart in Tulum, January 2018.

The sheer beauty of the Mayan Selva (or jungle) makes you realize how important it is for mankind to revisit its relationship with the natural world. Together, we CAN make the Earth a better place. It starts by respecting ourselves, each other, and this gorgeous planet we come from.

I am SO grateful to have had the opportunity to play for such a genuine, open-minded and energetic group of individuals. My goal with this set was to create a vibrant journey of love around the world, but also through space and time, embracing both light and darkness.

DAVIAN - For Rainy Days

Every once in a while, it’s fun to try something different. 

Last weekend, for my friend Vince’s birthday, we had a memorable night involving amazing people, a wonderful venue, great music, tons of laughs… and delicious tacos! 

This inspired me to put together a funky warmup set, using the few latino-sounding records I had. I hope this little exotic experience (from a beatless 90 BPM to a pumping 120) can put a smile on your face and bring warmth to your day!

The voice-over intro (and outro) is from a Fidel Castro speech in 1992, urging the world to take action regarding climate change.

Prima Lux: DAVIAN & Marika Fellegi (Live Violin)

The Amazon is burning. Its rich fauna and flora, as well as its indigenous people, are in danger. The Rainforest is vital for life on earth, and we need to see this crisis as a catalyst for action.   

This set was recorded live at Newspeak in Montreal, and was made with all my heart. The intention is to raise awareness toward the urgency of the fundamental changes we must undertake as a species. 

We need to rethink our relationship with the Earth: The Occidental way of life is certainly comfortable and sometimes makes us feel like anything is possible… But hidden from our eyes is a plethora of highly unsustainable practices that need to stop immediately. 

 Please have a listen, please repost, and PLEASE discuss this topic with the people around you. Let’s find solutions!

The time is now.
