This compilation is the masterwork of two brothers, Mark and Tony, who have endeavored to bring you (yes, YOU!) a mixtape that will put a shimmy in your step; a smile on your puker; a simile in this sentence.

"Side One" of this virtual 60 minute mixtape is craftily fidgeted together by Tony and features sounds abound by Astral Brain, The Umbrella Puzzles, Horsebeach, and many more! "Side Two" is constructed by Mark, and features the cannily uncanny musicality of TV Girl, Pony Club, Twin Shadow, and still many, many more! And ya know what? These two sides of the same mixtape fit together like a watch. A good one. With both hour and minute hands and everything!

I mean, seriously: how plumb-lucky are yer ears right now? Pretty damn lucky, I tell ya what. About as lucky as we are that you clicked on this mix and stuck around to the end.

The Holiday Mixtape Series Presents: "Day For Night School"

Welcome back to the Holiday Mixtape Series ! We hope you are having a wonderful and warm holiday season. 

This year's mixtape is titled "Journey's End" and it is, a bit of a sombre affair. This last October, Mark and I (along with her family and extended network of friends) lost someone near and dear to us; our good friend, Brooke MacBeth.

Brooke was one of the wittiest, whip-smart-iest, and wonderful friends anyone could possibly ask for AND be extremely lucky  to know. She would light up a room, own it and leave it wanting hours and even days after her exit. We love her. We miss her. We dedicate this year's Holiday Mixtape Series to her.

Brooke, these songs are for you, from this point on, in time in memorial. Knowing you, you would have balked at this eye-rolling-ly maudlin display of songs and sadness. But this mixtape is just as much for us as it is for you. We love you.
