The_phvntxmtroupe originally started as a producer duo with LawdZeus & TevinSenpai who initially made beats only.
The sound they created primarily consisted of dark melancholic trap melodies complimented by robust, hardhitting kicks and bouncy hi-hat patterns. A sound which they dubbed as "dramatic trap".
As the producer duo went on making beats and getting placements with local artists, they came across other artists who later joined up as members. The third member who joined was the rapper Hill Black. He is a Northern-Cape based rapper who uses a more aggressive, screamorap style as his signature rap style. As the trio went on making music, they came across more members,the fourth addition was a Western-Cape based rapper/singer who went by the moniker of Supreme Kae. He had a more melodic style of rap which focused on a trap soul type of style.

The group, at this point, had expanded to a Six member group with Tyk3sTheAuthor, a very versatile artist, ready to slaughter a beat at any minute!
And KingMulla,the 6th member, and official Hypeman😈

They started to make more collaborations focusing on solidifying their own style.
