THE WAY OF THE DAZZLING DARK
Darkness invades me, inside and out.
I lit my last match and soon it will go out, leaving only the pungent smell of smoke that enters your nose and makes your eyes burn in that brief flash of light.

Along the road I walk, lined with luminous edges, not seeing where I tread, but it’s kind and pleasant road, never straight, but full of twists and turns, some large, some narrow.

I will not wait for you.

I go where no-one waits and where none expect me.
I go the way of the dazzling dark and I'll stop where the emptiness, echoing my name, will fill the space that was yours.
Now, I close my eyes to see where I finish when the road ends and the open space gapes wide. 
Raining light will fall upon this road and turn off the luminous edges, at intervals illuminating my disarming madness.
The match has burned out.
I slap back the darkness that bathes my eyes and withers my soul.

There's the rebellion of a bride, recluse in her mourning. 
There's the resurrection of a time once lost. There's a pact with life. 
There's everything that can be interpreted but not explained. 
Turning on the light is strictly forbidden if you really want to see.

THE RAPE nasce dall'esigenza di dare voce e suoni , e quindi vita, attraverso la musica, ad alcuni testi che fanno parte di una raccolta intitolata "LA' DENTRO NEL BUIO" di cui Kathya West ne e' l'autrice.

I Testi, concepiti come metafore autobiografiche, per scelta, non hanno subito alcun adattamento per le resa di canzoni al fine di conservarne l'autenticita' dei momenti in cui sono stati scritti.

Originariamente, scritti in italiano, ma tradotti in inglese per darne fluidita' nella musica, l'ordine di esecuzione dei testi, cantati/recitati, e' un concept di momenti in cui si comincia dalla fine, che poi e' l'inizio, della storia di una vita.

THE RAPE e' un progetto trasversale che utilizza la musica per intonare parole che esprimono sentimenti attraverso una rappresentazione quasi teatrale, esattamente, come la vita.

Un concerto in cui l'improvvisazione ne avra' per la maggiore, complici saranno le emozioni e l'interplay tra i musicisti.

THE RAPE, from Milan, Italy, take place to give voice and sounds, and therefore life, through music, to some lyrics which are part of a collection entitled "THERE, INSIDE THE DARK" of which Kathya West is the author.
The lyrics, conceived as autobiographical metaphors, by choice, have not undergone any adaptation for performance as songs in order to preserve the authenticity of the times when they were written.
Originally written in Italian but translated into English to give fluidity in music, the execution order of the lyrics, sung/recited, is a concept of moments where you start from the end which is the beginning of the story of a life.
THE RAPE is transversal project, a crossroad, that uses music to sing words that express feelings through an almost theatrical performance, just like life.
A concert in which improvisation is very important, accomplices will be the emotions and the interplay between the musicians.
