Emerging out of the Dallas Fort Worth area in 1996, a couple of cousins and two other acquaintances would forge a strong bond of unimaginable chemistry blending vastly different musical backgrounds and influences over the subsequent 5 + years. 

Recording with experienced engineers and producers like Rick Rooney, Barry Patterson, and Barry Blair, the core quartet would go on to be regulars at venues like The Door in Dallas (and later Fort Worth). With the support of a blossoming scene in the DFW area in the late 90's and early 2000's and consistent airplay of several cuts from their only full-length effort, In This Chaos,  on 89.7 Power FM, The Shake carved out their own position as one of the more recognizable sounds of that scene.

Splitting up in 2001, the 4 founding members have kept in touch over the subsequent 2 + decades, always keeping a musical reunion on the table for discussion.
