Jesus Steered The People From Looking Instead For An Earthly Kingdom To An Eternal Kingdom

This is my first participation in Disquiet Junto.

I recorded ice with a pair of Usi Pro connected to a Zoom H6.
I have played with the recordings with my custom sampler in SuperCollider and Ableton Sampler. Added improvisation with my Sequential OB-6. No effect except some tiny bits of Vallhala Vintage Verb and Valhalla Delay.

Listen w 🎧👂🏾pls) 🚀🕊 This arrangement’s conception was originally to be a ‘lighter’ cover, but with recent events, honestly, producing this gave me solace from the reality of my frustration, sadness, disappointment, and a deep dive into my vivid imagination. I flipped this song into my motivation, to keep me moving forward, to remember that I come from resillent stock. I kept imaging a utopia for Black bodies to thrive without constant violence against them, simply for existing. A utopia where humans, no matter their ethnic background, wouldn’t be devalued because of their skin color, nor origin, but be accepted & celebrated for their uniqueness — to only be seen by their spirit. Like @lennykravitz said, "𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵 𝘧𝘭𝘺, 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘖𝘯𝘦." I want to see a world where we do more collaborating and less isolating. I want to see real support for Black women, the same way that Black women always have, and always will give to ALL others. I imagine a world where Black bodies aren’t snatched up by the institution that is whiteness, and the collective energy for change really shifts our culture of fear and depression to abundance and the sharing of resources; where Black, Brown, & Indigenous peoples have institutional support and care. In the meantime, I will continue to strive for Black Joy, and choose the radical act of taking care of myself. Remembering Dr. MLK & Coretta Scott King on this day, and uplifting all of whom feel disheartened by these times. I see you 🖤🚀🕊✈️
