Nicolas reflects on this set:
'It was truly exciting to premiere my new album Música Aperta at the Mostra Festival, in such a carefully curated environment with an audience so devoted to the sound experience. The design of the space — in total darkness and surrounded by an exquisite sound system — created a collective sound meditation room for more than 10 hours each day, a unique experience that I had never seen at a festival before.

Música Aperta is an electroacoustic piece and immersive performance that explores the perception of time through sound. Using string textures, bowls, and organs, the music cultivates an atmosphere of active stillness and contemplation, inviting the exercise of deep listening. In this context, Mostra was the perfect place to express the concept of the album, which is essentially about creating a space of resistance to the fast pace of modern life. I'm super thankful to the festival team and the audience! "

Laima Adelaide navigates in the soundscape of Deep Techno and Ambient. Her
music is a constant flow where noisy fragments and crystal-clear melodies wrestl to merge into a hypnotic harmony. With a strong foundation in both artistry and technology, she studied composition in Stuttgart and sound engineering in Riga, giving her a unique perspective on music production and sound design.

As a founder of Predawn Records, Laima is dedicated to cultivating the
electronic music scene by releasing innovative tracks and curating events.

To mark the upcoming release - The Neural Abyss - the new split-EP from Jin Synth [@jinsynth] and Marco Maldarella [@marcomaldarella], out on October 24 in two editions, KR3 reconnects with both artists for a special split mix inspired by the title and concept of the release.

This 90-minute sonic journey is divided evenly: the first 45mins. by Jin, followed by 45mins. from Marco. Together, they guide the listener through a rich blend of sounds and textures, spanning the full spectrum of electronic music. 
The mix dives deep, like a mental abyss - mirroring the immersive, introspective nature of the EP.

Think of it as a deep blue ocean of layered waves and multidimensional soundscapes, crafted four-handedly to submerge the mind.

The Neural Abyss Mix by Jin Synth & Marco Maldarella

The twentieth. This week's submission sees London based music head Passaat join the channel. Best known for encapsulating audiences at Above Below, an intimate, nourishing, underground festival set in the Chiltern Hills. His repertoire spans varying shades of techno, but he has been known to curate ambient sets that could inspire introspection in the hardest of hard-heads. 

The mix itself sees the Out Of Focus brief well and truly met. Ambience, atmosphere, aura. Long, velvety blends allow the mix to flow and seam, like clouds on a clear day. Subtleties are introduced throughout as the pace builds before granting us a moment of tranquility. It is moments of stillness like these that should be cherished. Moments where we can ascend, only to be escorted through the final section still clutching the cloud we ride upon, as it vanishes before our very eyes.

Khey Mysterio is a producer and DJ hailing from Paris. He has an affinity for heady, psychedelic techno and experimental bass that he expresses both in his sets and own releases. He’s active in @airacollectiv , & @guruga-crew , collectives based around France.

Antoine alias Ocyra is an emerging force in the global techno scene, crafting hypnotic soundscapes that blur the lines between industrial minimalism and euphoric peak-time energy. Born from a deep fascination with the intersection of technology and human emotion, Ocyra’s sonic palette draws from dystopian futurism while maintaining an undeniable connection to the dancefloor. Antoine already played in some of the best clubs like Club Vent and Dommune in Tokyo, Garage Noord in Amsterdam or Macadam in Nantes.
With roots in underground rave culture, Ocyra has developed a signature sound characterized by driving basslines, intricate percussion programming, and atmospheric textures that transport listeners into otherworldly sonic territories.
